A Slow Recovery - Sanegiyuu

12 - The start of recovery.

3rd person pov:

Shinobu entered the room and saw the two men cuddling. She smiled at the sight and placed a tray on the coffee table.

"Moshi, Moshi!" Shinobu spoke, lightly tapping the both of them. Sanemi stired awake, groggily yawning as he turned his head. He saw Shinobu holding a tray of food and sat up, lightly shaking the ravenette's shoulders which earned him a grunt.

"Wake up tomioka" sanemi gentily spoke.

"You can speak like that?" Shinobu cringed.

"Oh shut up you mosquito" sanemi snarled back, earning a death glare from shinobu. Giyuu slowly sat up, he yawned and rubbed his eyes.

"What...what is it..?"the brunette's voice was raspy and shinobu passed him a cup of water which giyuu greedily gulped down.

"Its time for dinner tomioka"

Giyuu snapped his head to look at shinobu. He watched as the insect hashira placed a tray of food on his lap. Giyuu bit his lip, anxiety was creeping up giyuu's spine.

"D-do I have to?" He whispered.

"Yes. You haven't eaten in three days tomioka" shinobu smiled sadly at him. Giyuu's body was trembling as he stared at the food, it was a simple tuna sandwich with apple slices on the side.

"I'll leave tomioka to you, I have work to do" sanemi nodded and wrapped his arms around giyuu's waist, slowly kneading the flesh in hopes of calming down the ravenette. Shinobu exited the room, leaving the both of them alone.

"I-I'm not hungry.."

"That can't be"

"I-I don't feel hungry.." right on cue, giyuu's stomach rumbled. Giyuu's lips were bleeding and tears welled up in his eyes. He looked away, trying to hide his falling tears. Sanemi placed the tray aside and pulled giyuu onto his lap, warmly embracing the man. He pressed giyuu's face into his neck and rubbed circles into his back, whispering comforting words into giyuu's ear . The brunette's trembling gradually came to a pause.

"Are you okay..?"

"Y-yeah..."

"Do you want to eat?"

"D-do I ha-ve to..?"

"Yeah.."

Giyuu's breath hitched and sanemi ran his hand through giyuu's hair. Sanemi shifted giyuu so the water hashira was sitting horizontally on his lap, and placed the tray infront of him.

"I'll eat with you" Sanemi said, taking a small bite out of the sandwich and held it to giyuu's mouth. Giyuu was hesitant, he stared at the sandwich and glanced at sanemi. Sanemi smiled softly and brushed the ravenette's messy fringe to the side. Giyuu gulped and took a bite out of the sandwich, chewing slowly. Sanemi lightly patted giyuu's back and leaned the latter's head on his chest. When giyuu swallowed the food, sanemi repeated the same process again and again untill the sandwich was finished. Sanemi held a glass of water to giyuu lips and the brunette chugged the water.

"Do you want to eat the apple slices?"

The ravenette shook his head. Sanemi removed the tray and hugged giyuu tighter, he rubbed giyuu's back and whispered sweet nothings into his ear.
