You stood on the tips of your toes, trying as best as you could to get the star on top of the tree in the corner of you and Robert's quaint home.
"What on earth are you trying to do, my love?," you heard Robert chime from behind you. You turned around to see him leaning against the doorway with an amused look on his face.
"I need your help...," you said, showing him the star in your hand. He chuckled before walking up to you, taking the star as you handed it to him. With his height, he made it look easy reaching up to the top of the tree.
A huge grin spread across your face as you grabbed his hand, grabbing him to stand back and admire your work. Excitement filled you as you looked at all the twinkling lights lighting up the living room.
"What do I get in return for my contribution?," Robert asked. You looked up to find him staring down at you with a playful smirk on his face.
"How about my undying love and affection?," you teased with an innocent smile on your face. He snorted at your comment.
"Sure love...that's fine with me," he replied, ending the moment with a sweet kiss.
