To say that you and Stone didn't get along would be an understatement

To say that you and Stone didn't get along would be an understatement. You were practically enemies, arguing every second you got. So when Jeff forced you two to plan a Christmas party together, you both objected the first chance you got.

"No way...," you and Stone said in unison. Jeff looked at the both of you with an amused look on his face as he proposed the idea.

"C'mon guys. It'll be fine. All you have to do is just plan a few things, and it will be over. Besides, maybe you too will finally start to like each other," he said with a smirk, as he walked out of the room.

You let out a breath, looking at Stone who also had an amused look on his face. It was as if he liked to see you all worked up about everything.

"Please don't try to make this anymore miserable than it has to be," you said, to which he let out a laugh.

"I could say the same thing to you," he replied. He walked towards the door, purposely brushing your shoulder on the way out. You rolled your eyes and let out a frustrated breath before soon following behind him.

The night of the party, you were relieved that the planning and hard work was over. You were also partially confused on how you had even managed to throw anything together despite the conflict between you and Stone.

"Admiring our work?," you heard a voice sound from next to you. You already knew it was Stone, before you looked at him.

"Yeah. It actually turned out...really good," you replied, almost as if you were surprised to hear yourself say that. He stood next to you, seemingly following your line of vision, as you looked around at everyone having a good time.

"Sounds like you had no faith in me," he teased, causing you to shoot him a playful glare.

"It's not like you make it easy," you said. Surprisingly, a comfortable silence fell between the two of you. It was a space that was usually taken up by the two of you arguing over nothing. Instead, there was a slight tension that you noticed, and wondered if he felt as well.

"I'm sorry y/n," he let out, making you turn towards him. You gave him a confused look, causing him to continue. "I've been a jerk to you, and I shouldn't have treated you that way. I was wrong, and I'm sorry."

You stood there for a few moments, contemplating what he had just said to you before you spoke up.

"Are you feeling okay? I think the eggnog might be spiked," you said, reaching up to feel his forehead jokingly.

"Dammit y/n, I'm serious," he said, rolling his eyes playfully as he swatted your hand away. "I guess I just didn't say it sooner cause I could never tell you...that I liked you."

You looked into his eyes, taking notice of a look you didn't recognize. For the first time he didn't look at you as if you were just someone for him to piss off. He looked at you genuinely, as if he really saw you.

"I like you too, Stone," you replied, watching as the look in his eye changed. It seemed as if your words had resonated on a deeper level.

Soon enough, the both of you were leaning in, until there was no space left between you. His lips met yours with a force that could wash away all the problems you'd both had and leave nothing behind but the burning tension between you. After a few moments he pulled away, leaving you both shocked and content at the same time. A playful smirk crept up onto his face once more, before he looked up above you both.

"Huh...I wonder who put that there," he said, causing you to look up and see mistletoe. You shook your head with a grin, looking back down at him. He simply winked at you before he put a hand out and led you both away to enjoy the rest of the Christmas party you had planned, together.
