It was Christmas Eve, and the lights from the tree were sparkling bright. You and Kirk were snuggled close on the couch under a large blanket trying to keep out the cold. Christmas cartoons played on the television keeping you both occupied.
"Babe, I've got an idea," you heard Kirk say. The sound of his voice reverberated through his chest, which your head laid upon.
"What's the idea?," you asked, your eyes still glued to the claymation characters on the screen.
"We should watch a horror movie!," he exclaimed, pride in his voice. To this, you sat up so that you could get a look at his face. He smiled at you, eyebrows raised, expectantly.
"Kirk, baby...no one watches horror movies on Christmas Eve," you said, with a laugh. He rolled his eyes playfully, knowing the suggestion wouldn't go over well with you.
"Aww, c'mon. It could be our special thing," he replied. You knew how much he loved horror movies, and while watching one on Christmas Eve seemed like an extremely abnormal thing to do, you knew you loved seeing him happy.
"Fine. But just one movie, and after we have to watch 'Rudolph' so I don't have any nightmares," you said cuddling up next to him again. He let out a laugh as he wrapped his arms around you and placed a kiss on your head.
"Love you!," he said excitedly. You smiled, turning back to place a kiss on his lips.
"Love you too, Hammett..."
