Chapter Sixteen

Alex's POV

"Alex! Get your arse downstairs now. Mum wants you." My brother shouts from the other side of my door while banging on it violently.

"I'm coming. I'm coming." I shout while pulling my duvet off so I can climb out of bed.

I get out of bed then open my bedroom door. My brother is stood there looking annoyed. "Mum has been shouting you for almost ten minutes." He says as we walk down the stairs.

"Sorry. I didn't hear her."

"Yeah, because you were snoring your little head off."

"Ay, I'm bigger than you. If anyone has a little head it is you." I say as we get to the hallway.

"She is in there." He says, pointing to the kitchen.

He walks into the living room as I walk into the kitchen. Bella's parents, Robert and Grace, are sat at the small table we have in the kitchen talking to my mum and dad. "Morning." I say as I walk in.

"Morning." They reply.

"Why did you have to wake me up at ten o'clock in the morning on a weekend?" I look round the room, to see if anyone else is here. Bella didn't tell me they would be here and neither did my parents. They would normally ask me to go see her or help her look after Joshua and Meghan. "Where's Bella?" I ask.

"She is at home." Robert says.

"Is she looking after Joshua and Meghan on her own?"

"No, they are at Joshua's Nanna's house. Bella was still asleep when we left"

I was just about to say something when my mum starts speaking. "Alex." She says.

"Yeah." I turn to face her.

"I was going to tell you they were coming last night but you went upstairs. Bella is old enough to look after her self, she doesn't need you there to look after her."

I remember reading the comments that Sophie left on her photo last night. I know there will be more this morning and I want to see if she is okay. I can't tell my mum and dad that, especially while Bella's parents are here. I don't really think it is my place to tell them.

"I'm going to see her because she obviously doesn't know you are here and I want to see if she is okay."

"Alex, why wouldn't she be okay? You can go if you want but as I said she can look after herself." My mum says.

"I don't know, she has just been left alone while she is asleep. If you left me like that I would be worried."

"Fine, you can go."

"Thank you mum." I say as I leave the kitchen "Lovely seeing you this morning Mr and Mrs Camerons."

I walk out into the hallway and head towards the stairs. "Going to see her then. Lover boy." James says as he walks out of the living room.

"You're just jealous because she likes me now not you."

"Excuse me but I have girlfriend, unlike you."

"Whatever."

I walk up the stairs and go into my room. While I am walking I realise that I never found out what my mum actually wanted to tell me. I change out of my pyjamas and put some clothes on. I walk into my bathroom and put my contact lenses in then go back into my room, I take a grey jacket and a pair of trainers out of my wardrobe, put them on then go downstairs. As I go down the stairs I open Facebook on my phone to have a look at the comments. I see lots of comments by Sophie and her friends calling Bella a bitch and saying other things, I scroll up to see more comments. There are some from Bella's friends, some saying nice things and some having a go at Sophie and her friends. I am almost at the top of the comments when I see the comment I left.
