Chapter Nineteen
This week at school was pretty boring, as usual. I had my maths exam, I actually don't think I did too bad. We also had some surprise exams that I didn't have much time to prepare for, I don't think I did too great in those.
It's Friday now though and I'm so glad. Geography, maths, English, history and chemistry, not the best lessons but the day seems to be going quite quickly so far. I can't wait for this day to be over.
Sophie has been having a go at me most of this week. I have no idea why, she isn't even with James anymore so it's not like it matters to her if I'm with him or not. It is so obvious she wants to get back with him though. It's funny because he is totally not interested, or that's what it looks like.
It's just been lunch so I'm now in history. I quite like history but it can be difficult sometimes, just like it is today. The teacher, Miss Berry, is really nice though which is probably why I enjoy it. The lesson seems to go by quite quickly so then I have to go to chemistry.
I despise chemistry.
Being with my friends is one of the only things that gets me through that lesson. Pretty much all of them hate it too. Katherine, Ava, Lucy, Paige, Poppy and I all sit together and all of us dislike the subject besides Katherine. We have to listen to our teacher talk at us about atoms for an hour before we finally get to go home.

"Bella." My dad says from across the table.
"Yeah?" I say once finishing the food in my mouth.
"Your step mother and I are going on a business trip with Johnathan and Amanda and are setting off in a few hours and we won't be back until late Sunday night. We need you to look after Meghan and Joshua while we are gone. Is that okay?"
"Yeah it's fine."
I don't really want to have to look after them but I know I have to. Just saying it's fine is so much easier than arguing with them.
"Also James and Alex are going to stay here while we are gone because we all agreed it would be safer if you were all together." My dad continues.
I can't believe they have to stay here. I really don't want James to be here but he has to be. There is nothing I can do about it. I do wish they had told me about it sooner though. We do only have one spare bedroom still though so I have no idea where one of them is going to sleep. I already know that my dad has probably thought about it.
"One of them is going to have to stay in Joshua's room because there is nowhere else for them to stay."
I said he would have.
"Why my room?" Joshua whines.
"Because you're the only boy." My dad says.
"Yeah but they are friends with Bella."
"But still, Bella's a girl."
Joshua and my dad argue for a while about one of them staying in his room but he eventually gives in. To be honest I'm glad one of them has to stay with Joshua and not me but I have a feeling Alex may end up sleeping in my room again. My parents still don't know about that and I'm glad about it.
After we have all finished eating, my dad and step mum ask us to help them finish getting sorted. I help carry their suitcases down and out to my dads car while Meghan and Joshua tidy up a bit before Alex and James get here.
