Chapter 7

I walk all the way across town trying to find where the address is that Valentina sent me.
I only now realize that I have to go to the PR's territory.
Guess I was just too persistent to help Valentina since she's done so much for me and Tony.
Speaking of Tony.. I haven't seen him since the dance. I hope he's okay...

( 10 minutes of walking later )

I'm now in the PR's territory. It's not as bad as I thought it'll be.
I see young Puerto Rico children running and playing around with each other.
I also see adults selling fruits in a little market area.
I smile at the sights.
This is the first time I'm really gonna have to interact with a Puerto Rican.
I have to say, I'm kinda nervous.
I keep walking towards the address and I'm met with a tall building.
This must be it. I thought.
I walk up the stairs and I'm finally at the door.
I take a deep breath and knock...
I hear a lady speak in Spanish inside the room and she opens it.
SHE'S BEAUTIFUL! I think to myself.
She seems surprised at first.
I finally gather up my courage and asks
"Uh- hello! Oh I mean hola? Never mind, may you be Anita?"
She stifles a laugh.
"Aye yes, I'm Anita and you don't have speak Spanish, I can tell you're not familiar with it. I'll also speak English, I need to work on it anyway" she laughs a bit.
"Oh sorry, thank you. Uh- I have your melatonin from Docs drug store!" I say
"Oh yes, thank you" she says
I hand over the bag and she says
"Hold on, let me get the money. You can come in if you'd like."
"Oh thank you" I say walking in behind her.
I look around to see a pretty nice apartment she has.
It's better than Mine and Tony's basement.
She walks over to her purse and digs threw it.
She then turns to me and asks
"Sorry, I didn't get your name?"
"Oh I'm Lucy." I say
"Lucy.. that's a cute name" she says smiling
"Oh thank you! Your name is pretty too! I've been saying it over and over in my head on my way here!"I say
NOW I PROBABLY SOUND LIKE A WEIRDO!
I think to myself.
"Uh- I mean- it's just that your name is really catchy!" I say trying to redeem myself
"It's okay dear" she laughs a bit
"Please have a seat, would you like some water?" She says
"Oh that'll be great, thank you" I say sitting down
"It takes a lot of courage to come into the Puerto Rican side of town. Especially with everything doing on between the sharks and jets." She says sitting down next to me and handing me a cup of water.
I gulp at the mention of the jets. I can't let her know I'm technically apart of the jets.
"Yeah but I was fine." I say
"I'm glad. You seem like a really sweet and kind girl." She says
"Awe thanks! You seem nice too since you've let me into your home and offered me a drink!" I say
We talk a little bit and she tells me about her life in Peurto Rico and I tell her about me living In Valentina's basement. I also tell her I got an older brother but I never mentioned his name or that I'm kinda like a sister to all the jets.God know what'll happen. Perhaps I got carried away.

"I should be going home now, it was nice to meet you Anita!" I say standing up
"It was nice to meet you too, Lucy. We should get together again some time!" She says
"I agree! This was really fun! I have to admit, I don't really have much girl friends." I say
"Don't worry! I'll show you a great time! I can even introduce you to some of my friends!" She says
"Im looking forward to it! See ya soon Anita!" I say
"See ya lucy!" She says closing the door.
I smile and walk out if the apparent building to head back to Docs.
When I'm finally out of the PR's territory, I spot a familiar figure.
He seems to be stressed
I walk up to him and say.
"Hey, Officer Krupke!"
