Emma pov:
The flight home went smooth. Toto paid me well so I had the pleasure of being able to afford to upgrade to first class on all of our long flights. A few of the flights I even flew with Toto in his plane. That way we could get a lot of work done together. The flight home was basically filed with people from all of the different teams. I spent the whole flight sleeping because I was still a bit hangover from the party the other night.
I even slept during the taxi ride to my apartment. Finally being home I quickly changed to an oversized hoodie and jumped out of my pants. At home I never wore pants, only a big hoodie and undies. After I changed clothes I decided to put on a laundry machine and write a grocery list. I didn't have the energy to go to the store now so I decided to do it tomorrow. Tonight was home delivery food with a Coca Cola Zero and movie.
I ended up ordering pizza and watching dirty dancing for like the hundredth time. It felt so good finally being home and get some downtime before another crazy season started. I knew that Toto wouldn't bother me for at least a week. He always made sure I got time to actually just relax and get time to recover before he asked for any help.
Being an assistent to him meant that I also worked with him off seasons. Off season was mostly about contracts and keeping track of his calendar for interviews. After new years the planing for the up coming season started for real. That time of year was a lot of planing for meeting with investors, potential new drivers and a lot of media planing. One thing I've learned about Toto is that he dislike media duties. He was not a huge fan of them and wants to avoid them as much as possible. Unless he has to, he don't want to. Simple as that.
I felt my eyes getting heavy about half way through the movie so I decided it was best to call it an early night. I had a few things I wanted to get done tomorrow so a good nights sleep would be perfect. I quickly brushed my teeth and striped out of my clothes before I cuddle down under the sheets in my bed. I almost forgot how great my own be felt.

Waking up the next morning I felt well rested. Checking the time I realized I almost slept for 10 hours. Guess I was tiered and really needed som sleep. I decided to stay in bed for a bit longer and just scrolling through my phone. After spending more time than I'd like to admit on TikTok, I decided it was time to get up. For breakfast I made a toast, because that was all I had at home. Guess the grocery shop was the first thing I needed to go to. That was number one on my to do list.
I quickly got dressed, putting on a pair of skinny jeans and an oversized t-shirt. I put my hair in a messy bun and grabbed my wallet. I was lucky I had a grocery store just around the corner. I did actually enjoy going grocery shopping. It was relaxing in some way. My shopping cart quickly got filled with vegetables, dairy products and various other things.
I was standing at the milk section, trying to decide if I was gonna go with oat milk or normal milk, or if I should get both. I did enjoy both equally. I notice a man reaching to grab a milk box next to me. He felt oddly familiar, so I turned my head slightly to have a quick look at who he was. He was indeed familiar, it was Christian. The Christian. Christian Horner. No wonder he felt familiar. Ive seen him a lot around the paddock and with Gaby being his assistant, Ive heard a lot about him. I wasn't sure if he knew who I was so I gave him a weak smile that he returned. He left as quickly as he came. Kind of an awkward moment. I knew he lived here in the area, as most of the people working in F1 did. Since we both lived in the same area its not a surprise I'd run in to him here. Oddly enough it was actually the first time happening since I moved here. It seems like we had the same route through the shop because we kept bumping in to each other. I even got in the queue right behind him on my way out.
After a solid hour spent in the grocery store I was home. Unpacking the bags took an other 30 minutes. I love having it organized in my fridge. For lunch I decide to make pasta with pesto. It was easy, quick and I could eat the left overs tomorrow.
A/N: so sorry for the bad update! Ive been sick... :( But finally back on track! Hopefully I'll get more chapter up for you shortly. I promise at least one more before the weekend! If you have any input and/or wishes for how the story is gonna developed, please let me know! Take care
