Chapter 5A MONTH LATER EVERYTHING SEEMED ALMOST NORMAL. FOR ALMOST EVERYONE. THE PACK AND HER UNCLE THOUGHT HAZEL was doing great about forgetting the blonde eyed boy. Which is exactly what she wanted, but wasn't the truth
She would keep herself occupied, yes. But that didn't help the burning in her chest or how often she thought about him
No matter what she was doing, eating, sleeping, showering. It was Jasper that clouded her mind
For the past week and a half everything Hazel had done was thought out. Like a schedule, but she made sure that she had barely any free time. She was either with the pack, her friends from school or training with her uncle. Everything else was unnecessary to her since it would make her think
Most people didn't see that though and just thought she was getting better, which was her plan in the first place
"Hazel!" Hazel, frightened at the noise turned around abruptly before swinging her sword and pressing it against Paul's neck. Her eyes immediately widened once she realised who it was
"Paul" she gasped pulling it away and putting it back in her pocket though he didn't seem fazed in the slightest
"You scared me""I can tell. You seemed really into the training.. the past few weeks" he eyed her suspiciously but nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary except the fact that she looked like she hadn't slept for more than a few hours a night
"Yeah, it's a routine. Uncle suggested it. It helps me keep my mind off.." she trailed off at the end and shook her head before looking back up at Paul
"I ge that. Jack told me about it, but it seems all you do is train and hang out with us. When was the last time you got some sleep? Or did something you enjoy?"
