IT WAS 2 WEEKS LATER WHEN HAZEL HAD FELT AN ALARMING FEELING WASH OVER HER AND SHE QUICKLY AND INCONSPICUOUSLY WALKED into the forest close by
"Sam?" She said bringing her phone to her ear "It's Embry. He's changing, do you know where he is?"
"He should be on his way back from school right now, i know paul and Jared are just finishing. I'll get them to find him, can you-"
"Yes" she said cutting him off "I'll be there" she hung up without another word and started running through the forest, not needing to go back for a car she didn't have since she walked to school
She had gone to the Reservation school a few times to meet up with either Jacobs friends or Paul's so she knew her way around. She continued to find her way over but then she caught sight of Embry crouched over on the sidewalk panting
"Embry" she said walking up to him cautiously "Are you okay?"
"Hazel" he murmered confused "What are you doing here? What's going on with me-"
"Embry, calm down. Take a deep breath" he stood up straight and listened to what she was saying and she placed her hand on his forehead
He was burning up, which meant he was about to change
"How do you feel?"
"Hot. Annoyed. Angry" he murmured and she could hear the slight edge to his voice
"Do you want to sit down or something?" She questioned motioning to the woods and for some reason Embry found himself nodding his head and following her
They made their way into the woods and once they got far enough they were met with a clearing that gave Hazel the chance to message Sam about where they were
"How are you feeling?" Hazel asked for the second time but it got him all riled up
"I SAID IM FINE-I- I- I'm so sorry" he whispered as he kneeled himself to the ground. Hazel didn't like shouting voices but she knew Embry couldn't control it "Somethings happening to me- somethings going on and-" it happened in the blink of an eye. Embry had shifted into a large wolf, he had black/ grey fur on the top but then white on the bottom
