Chapter 12

IT HURT CHARLIE TO HEAR IT, IT HURT HER UNCLE AND THE PACK TO HEAR IT. BUT IT HURT HAZEL TO EXPERIENCE IT AND THATS WHAT MADE THEM LIVID. Paul was tense beside her the whole time she spoke and she could tell he was trying his hardest not to shift. So once she had finished explaining and Charlie went to the other room she allowed Paul to get up. She watched him as he marched outside and once he was fully away he shifted into a wolf

She was aching. In agonising pain that made her unable to stop shedding tears and she didn't know how to stop it

"Why do bad things keep happening to me?" She whispered to her uncle who had walked over to her. He sighed softly and sat beside her, his arm resting over hers

"It shouldn't" he whispered
"You don't deserve any of this"

"Maybe I do" she muttered
"Maybe all these things happen to me because inside I'm a bad person"

"You are not a bad person Hazel. You're an amazing girl and everyone here can say the same. It's unfair this has happened to you but it is not your fault" she jumped for a moment when a sound reached her ears and when she looked down she saw it was Bella's name on her phone

She picked it up and placed it to her ears

"Hazel?! Finally! I've been trying to speak to you since last night"

"Well, I'm here" Bella let off a small laugh. Hazel had been there with the pack when they had killed Laurent which meant that Bella also saw her with the wolves

"Well, I know that. I've been wanting to ask you what the hell happened the other day? You was with wolves! And they were huge! Did they try and kill you?! What happened?-" Hazel hang up the phone and placed it down on the table not wanting to get into a conversation with Bella at the moment

"Come on Hazel, just eat a bit" she sat at the table beside the pack and her uncle Jack. She sighed and picked up her fork before she started eating the spaghetti bolognese on her plate

She was eating slowly so that she had a less chance of throwing up, so slow that everyone else had finished eating

But it wasn't enough as Hazel shot out of her seat

She made a beeline towards the toilet and emptied the contents out. Paul moved behind her and grabbed one of Emily's hair ties before gathering hazels hair and putting it up

"Thank you Paul"

"It's no problem"

"COME ON, GET OUT OF BED HAZEL" HAZEL GROANED AS SHE FELT HERSELF BEING SHAKEN AWAKE

"JARED? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? How did you get in my house?" Hazel grumbled as she lifted the covers over her face

"Your uncle let me in. Now come on, we're gonna go pick up Jake and scout the area for any leeches"
