Chapter 54

The limo pulled through the gates of the mansion. I watched as we drove slowly up the driveway before stopping by the front entrance.

"Rooms will be the normal ones. Take your bags to them and get settled enough. Remember we will be leaving within the next few days." Nico said to the cabin. Everyone acknowledged him then slowly began to climb out the car. I watched as Kevin and Nico slid across the seats and sat by the door watching me.
"Anna?" Nico said gently.
I smiled to him and quickly moved across. Nico's face lit up the closer I got to him.

Kevin climbed out, followed by Nico who reached his hand back in for me. I took it and allowed him to pull me out so I was standing beside him.

"This is impressive." I said looking over the white architecture.
"My father used it for all his parties, hence the ridiculous amount of rooms." Nico replied, putting his arm over my shoulder and pulling me into him.

I could hear the other limo approaching, the slight crunching of stones in the tyres brought my attention to them. I could feel Nico beside me turn and look as well. Kevin walked up beside me and stood next to me.

The limo stopped, and within seconds Henry and Max stepped out. I watched as Henry quickly buttoned back up his suit jacket then turned and began walking up to us. I could feel my heart hammering against my chest as he approached, his face was unreadable.

"I want to thank you again for allowing us to stay here while the apartment is undergoing works." Henry said to Nico, his eyes then wandered to me.

"How are you feeling Anna?" He asked. I nodded at him.
"I'm fine. I just want to move there already."
"I understand." Henry said gently.
"Have you heard from your builders?" Nico asked. Running his hand over my upper arm. I watched as the other men clamoured out the back of the limo and stood back watching the exchange.

"Yes. They are finishing up in 2 days then cleaning and stocking the day after."
Nico nodded.
"Our apartment is pretty much ready, but we will stay here until yours is completed." Nico replied smoothly.
"We appreciate that." Max said walking up to us as well. "We are happy for you to travel with us in our jet."

I looked to Nico then back to Henry and Max.
"Maybe we can talk business once we've settled in a bit?" I asked running my hand over Nico's back. He looked to me and nodded.
"I agree. I need a coffee." Nico replied, pulling me into him more.
"We can reconvene in my office in 30 minutes?"
Max and Henry nodded.
"Daniel will show you to your rooms." Kevin said as Daniel walked back outside to the car.
"Ah sure." Was all he replied before motioning for the Murdock's to follow him. I watched as they walked into the house.

"Do you have a jet?" I asked Nico, looking up to him. He smiled down at me and nodded.
"Let's show you to our room." He said before kissing my forehead and walking us into the house.

I was awestruck by the limestone flooring and the two staircases that swept up either side of the room. The trees situated in pots added the much needed colour and liveliness to the otherwise bright stone room.

Nico motioned towards the staircase on the right hand side. Silently, I followed him with Kevin closely behind me.

I groaned loudly. Nico stopped and looked at me, his eyes flicking rapidly over my face.
"What? What's wrong?" He gushed, stepping forward and holding my upper arms. I pouted as I looked to him.
"I'm so going to get lost." I said dumbly.
Nico smiled and laughed. I could hear Kevin behind me laughing as well.
"I remember getting lost here all the time. Don't worry. I'll be with you, and if not me, Kevin. Or one of the others." He said gently, his thumbs massaging my arm. I smiled at him and nodded.

I walked into Nico's office with him and Kevin. Nico groaned as he sat and reclined slightly in his desk chair with his fingertips pressed together resting on his mouth. Kevin walked in and sat on the sofa and flicked through his phone.
