Aqualad left us, he went to the other side and he was lost to us. At least that's what everyone was supposed to believe. Kid Flash and I knew better. He was undercover, Kaldurh would infiltrate the light and bring them down from the inside. We needed a new team leader. Naturally Wally and I butted heads over it, so we decided to put it to a vote.
"All in favor for Wally being team leader?" I asked. Artemis raised her hand.
"All in favor for me?" Everyone else's hands went up.
"Oh come on guys! She's been lying to us for years, she even worked for the enemy, we can't trust her!" Artemis exclaimed.
"Hey! She only did that for us! And your only pissed cause she kissed your boyfriend!" Batgirl defended me.
"Alright guys, I think that's enough, this has been settled, how about I make cookies and we watch some movies?" Miss M suggested.
Everyone agreed and we went to do that, before I could go sit down Wally pulled me aside,
"I'm sorry about what Artemis said to you."
"Why? You said yourself you didn't trust me." I said angrily.
"I didn't mean it that way. I don't trust you as a friend, you betrayed me, but I don't think that will make you a bad team leader." He told me.
"Thank you." I said simply.
"Come on, we always knew you'd be team leader one day anyhow."
"Thanks, I'm feeling the aster now." I cackled.
"Ugh I hate it when you do that!" He groaned.
"What? The cackling or the 'butchering of the English language'" I put the last part in air quotes.
"Both!" He exclaimed.
"Oh you know you love me."
He paused, "yeah."
I quickly changed the subject to the first thing that popped into my head,
"So did you know Artemis hates me?"
"Well you did-" I cut him off.
"No, before that, we go to school together you know, and for some reason she decided she hated me, it's actually very strange, because she liked me just fine when I was Robin."
"That's really weird, oh wait, Rikki, I do remember her mentioning you- oh yeah uh." He stopped talking and his face went red.
"What did she say about me?"
"Nothing." he said quickly, "so uh wanna go join the movie marathon?" And then he just sped off.
...
"Alright listen up team Poison Ivy is attacking downtown Central City, we don't need a lot of people for this so alpha squad will be, myself, miss M, Kid Flash and Artemis." Beta squad Cadmus has been making some noise I need you guys to go check that out Superboy you will lead Beta, I figured you would have some interest vested in this." He nodded and we went our separate ways.
Poison Ivy wasn't alone, Catwoman and Harley Quinn were with her, great, just great.
"Okay Miss M you take Catwoman, Artemis, Kid Flash you guys take Poison Ivy, I'll take Harley.
"Hey Harley, where's the joker?" I asked as I sent a birdie flying at her head. She ducked and have me surgery sweet smile,
"Puddin's doing other stuff, I'm just having a girls day!"
She then came at me with her mallet,
"Who are you anyways, I don't think we've met."
I ducked and threw a punch, catching her in the stomach.
"I'm the lady that's going to be taking you to jail."
She tried again with the mallet, but I grabbed it and tossed it aside.
"Well that's not very nice!" She pouted, before she grabbed her baseball bat from it's holster at her waist. She got in one good hit before I pulled out my eskershima sticks and blocked. We fought like that for a minute before I turned on the electricity and shocked her in the side. She dropped the baseball bat and clutched her waist. She then tried to run away but I threw a chord that wrapped around her ankles, she fell to the ground with a huff. I was just finishing tying her up when a vine wrapped itself around my ankle and hoisted me about thirty feet in the air.
"Hey!" I yelled. I went to free myself but more vines came and wrapped themselves around my wrists. Then the vines lifted me even higher.
"Great."
I brought my hands down to my thigh holster and wrapped them around the knife I kept there, then I worked it up and freed my wrists. From there I cut my legs loose and used my grapple gun to keep from becoming a spot on the sidewalk. While I was up in the air I swung around and kicked poison Ivy in the chest, knocking her to the ground. Kid Flash came behind me and quickly tied her up and stuck an inhibitor collar on her. I looked over and saw Miss M finishing up with Catwoman as well.
"Good job team."
