Y/n pov:

Fencing is a sport people shouldn't take lightly. Fencing is a dance. The precise footwork, the way you hold your sabre, and the drive to win is what got me to love it in the first place. Last year, my dance teacher recommended fencing to me after seeing how sharp and easily I picked up skills. Now, I am the second best member of the team, just behind Bianca Barclay.

I was at one of the benches taking a drink from my water bottle when I noticed Wednesday Addams stride in wearing all black fencing gear. She didn't seem fazed as she walked right through everyone.

She stopped when Rowan hit the ground after Bianca beat him. Again.

"Coach, coach, she tripped me." Bianca took her helmet off and gave him a look. I made my way over to the commotion, keeping my distance.

"It was a clean strike Rowan."

"Maybe if you whined less and practiced more, you wouldn't suck. Seriously coach, when am I gonna get some real competition?" I rose an eyebrow at her but didn't say anything. I never bothered to challenge Bianca, she was a brat and played dirty. I knew better than to waste my skill on someone like her. I was more interested in using it to help the other members around me.

"Anyone else want to challenge me?"

"I do." Wednesday said and I jerked my head over to her. This won't end well.

"Oh, you must be the psychopath they let in."

"And you must be the self appointed queen bee. Interesting thing about bees. Pull out their stingers, they drop dead."

People oohed in the background and Bianca furrowed her brows. "Rowan doesn't need you to come to his defense. He's not helpless, he's lazy."

"Are we doing this or not?" Wednesday fired back.

I continued to watch in silence as they fenced. Wednesday's skill was undeniable as she fought Bianca and I couldn't help but stare in awe.

Then Wednesday took off her mask and demanded they fought without them. The spar grew intense and they moved off the mat. Finally, Bianca swiftly slashed her sabre across Wednesday's forehead, a small cut forming immediately. Damn, I was really hoping someone would finally beat Bianca.

"Your face finally got that splash of color it so desperately needed."

I watched as Wednesday left the room, along with Rowan.

Later that day, after classes were over, I was walking down the hall when Xavier came out of he infirmary. When he noticed me he walked over.

"Hey y/n,"

"Xavier."

He followed me down the hall and stopped me right before I reached the stairs. "What did you think of Wednesday and Bianca's spar today? I've never seen anything like it."

I stared blankly at him, "yes, Wednesday and Bianca's spar today was intriguing. I was hoping Wednesday would win."

He smiled at me, "Hey did you-"

"I know what you are going to ask me Xavier and no, I don't feel like doing anything right now, I need to study."

I left Xavier and walked up the stairs, as I passed Enid and Wednesday's room, I heard La Llorona playing faintly.

Enid and I met in my room in the evening to talk about our school project.

"Okay y/n, I think were about done."
