AJ

"If I had known we were going to be waiting in this line for as long as we have been, I would've told you no to coming to this concert" Taylor says.

Currently Taylor and I are waiting outside of the venue where my favorite band Bad Omens is playing tonight. We've been waiting out here for about 6 hours. Only another 2 before they start letting people in. We have front row tickets, but I really wanted to be here early to possibly meet them before the concert.

Unfortunately, I've been having a pretty bad POTS Day, so I am worried about that affecting how much fun I have at this concert.

"You don't look too good, AJ," Taylor says.

"I'll be fine. Just two more hours then we can get in there and get comfortable" I say.

She sighs and pulls out her phone. I see her going to door dash and smile. I love that she cares about me when I realize that I don't take the best care of myself.

I feel my phone buzz and check it. It's a text from my now ex-boyfriend, Aiden.

We had broken up about a week prior to this concert due to finding out he'd been cheating on me with at least 5 different girls. Every day since our breakup, he's been trying to win me back and I'm not ready to hear his reasoning for why he did this.

Aiden: I know you're probably getting ready for your concert, but I was wondering if I could possibly come over and talk to you about everything. I miss you so much and I'm really not over you. Please AJ. I love you so much and I'm not ready for this story of ours to be over.

I just ignored the message. We were together for almost two years. Talking about getting engaged. We went to basic training together where we met but after I was medically discharged for a few different reasons, we began dating outside of basic. I started college and we stayed together. I even chose a college in his hometown to be with him. I'm unfortunately stuck in South Carolina for another 3 years until I graduate and I'm able to leave.

"Aiden again?" she asks.

I look down and nod. I begin to feel myself tear up. She rubs my back and lays her head on my shoulder.

"If it makes you feel any better, you now have Zaxby's on its way here" she says.

We both start laughing. I'm just blessed, I have someone to be here with me. He was supposed to come with me but I'm glad I get to have Taylor here with me.

No One

After what felt like an eternity and some Zaxby's later, they were finally let in. Everything was set up. The band equipment. The microphone that Noah was going to travel the stage with. AJ found herself becoming more and more excited considering she'd worked her ass off to purchase these tickets.

They get to their seats and almost immediately AJ begins to feel something she was all too familiar with.

Heart begins to race. World begins to feel like it's spinning. Feeling like it's impossible to breathe. Chest begins to hurt.

Taylor notices and immediately sits with her friend. She'd only manage to catch a few of her friend's faint spells but Aiden was really the only one who really knew how to help.

"What do you need me to do?" Taylor asks her friend.

"I'll be okay. It's just from going from sitting on the ground to standing and walking into here. I'll be okay I promise" AJ tried to reassure her.

Taylor knew that probably wasn't trying but didn't want to argue with her. As the venue started to fill up with people, she began to feel overwhelmed and anxious. Two things that don't help when she's having an episode.

The band comes out on stage, and she tries to get up to get excited but almost instantly knows if not now that in a few minutes, she will fall over.

Noah Sebastian scans the crowd at his adoring fans and notices her, not looking so good.

"What's up everybody? We are Bad Omens" he announces.

Everyone cheers causing her to feel even worse. She begins to hold onto Taylor for dear life. He leans back to his drummer Nick and motions his head over to the girl. Nick nods and keeps an eye on her. Noah faces the crowd.

The music for Concrete Jungle begins to play.

As much as she's trying to hold back, she knew she probably wouldn't for much longer.

"AJ sit please" Taylor tells her friend.

Aj shakes her head. Determined to enjoy this concert.

"I have to... enjoy this... concert" she tells Taylor.

Once the beginning of the song starts, the flashing louds and loud music causes her to hit the ground. One of the security guards and a few people surrounding them tends to her. Taylor tries desperately to wake her friend up.

The band stops playing immediately and Noah rushes down to her.

"What's going on?" Noah asks.

Taylor recognizes that he's the lead singer of Bad Omens and stares for a second.

"My friend. She has a condition called POTS. She fainted. I'm not used to helping her, only her ex fiance is" Taylor explains.

"I NEED A MEDIC" Noah yells.

An EMT comes running into the crowd and asks everyone to get back so he can work.

"I need to move her. It's too crowded in here" the EMT says.

Noah motions his security guard over and his guitarist. They both come over and help Noah and the EMT get her into their dressing rooms to allow the EMT to work on her.

Taylor frantically did what she knew she probably shouldn't. She called AJ's ex.
