Ch.12 Ex

No One

Somehow, he was completely unaware that he was behind his ex-fiancé with his friends. She knew it was him by the voice and that fact that he's with the friends that he's always with. Noah noticed something was off with her but chalked it up to her being nervous about being in Jacksonville. Taylor turns around and sees her friend visibly uncomfortable and walks over to her.

"What's wrong?" Taylor whispers to her.

She points behind her causing Taylor to look. Her eyes widen when she finally realizes. Noah then looks confused. Taylor gets closer to Noah.

"Her ex is behind us. The abusive one" she carefully whispers to Noah.

Noah's face changes instantly and AJ has to stop him from turning around. They finally get up to the counter.

"So, hey bro. I saw on AJ's story the other day that she had seen Bad Omens in concert. Isn't that the band we are going to see tonight and Friday?" one of the friends (Ben Ortiz) asks.

Her heart begins to race hearing that.

"Yea. I didn't know you still followed her. I wonder how she's doing" her ex, Fenton, says.

She begins to feel a sense of panic. She tries to snap out of it until she realizes that her vision and hearing were going out. She was having a bad episode and she wasn't going to be able to fight this one. Noah notices immediately as well as Jolly and Taylor.

Taylor grabs her and hauls her off to the bathroom while covering her head, so her ex doesn't realize it's her. She finally gets her into the bathroom and takes her into the wheelchair accessible stall. She begins having a panic induced episode.

She runs her hands through her hair as she finds it harder and harder to breathe.

"Come on AJ. I need you to breathe and try to calm yourself" Taylor says.

She was trying but more and more she couldn't breathe. She was rubbing her chest like crazy. She begins crying from the pain she's in. Taylor gets her to lay down in her lap as AJ's body goes limp then the convulsions start.

Meanwhile the guys were trying to get a lane for themselves, and Fenton was officially curious to know if the girl that was in front of him was okay.

"Hey, was she okay?" Fenton asks Noah.

Noah turns around to finally come face to face with her first ex-fiancé.

"Um yea. She has a medical condition. She'll be okay" he says without giving away too much information.

Fenton then recognizes who Noah is.

"Wait a second. You're the lead singer of Bad Omens" Fenton says excitedly.

Jolly, Nick, and Nicholas all turn around as well.

"You're Bad Omens. Holy shit. We love y'all music" Ben says.

Jolly smiles.

"Thanks man. Are y'all coming to either of our concerts?" Nicholas asks.

"Yea. We are going to both actually" Fenton says.

Noah was eyeing down Fenton, Fenton not realizing that Noah and AJ are together. The rest of the band finally gets themselves paid for and their shoes along with the girls. Fenton, Ben, and their other friends Calum all wanted to continue talking to them. Noah was just praying that they didn't end up near Fenton and his friends to avoid more panic for AJ.

The rest of the guys go to the lane while Noah goes to the snack stand to grab some salty foods for AJ. Once Fenton and his friends grab their stuff, the friends head to the lane which is a few down from the bands but Fenton joins Noah at the snack stand.

"I'm surprised you guys are allowed to be out and about without any type of bodyguards" Fenton says.

Noah was desperately trying to get away from this guy because he knew what he'd done to AJ.

"We can handle ourselves is why. Plus, we have our girlfriends with us. They trust us to take care of ourselves and them" he explains.

He furrowed his eyebrows. The guy comes over to get my snack order then he hears the ex say her name. Noah turns around to see his girlfriend being held by Taylor as she stares at him in horror.

"W-What are you doing here? I thought you moved back to Florida for good" Fenton asks her.

She was still in a mute state and didn't know how to respond to him.

"She moved up to South Carolina for school," Taylor says.

Fenton gives a singular nod then looks at Noah and sees how he's staring at AJ.

"AJ, can I speak with you? Please?" Fenton asks.

She shakes her head as she finds where the other guys got put. She and Taylor take off to the guys, leaving Fenton extremely confused.

"I suggest you stay away from her while you are here. She doesn't wanna talk to you and she has no obligation to" Noah says.

Fenton looks at him with a stern look on his face.

"You know her?" Fenton asks.

Noah looks down and scoffs.

"You have no idea. Stay away from her, I'm serious" Noah says.

He grabs his snack and joins his girlfriend and bandmates.

AJ

I couldn't get my heart rate under 100 which worried Taylor and Noah, but they tried to get me to remain calm the best way they could. Jolly and Taylor were on full display, not caring who was watching them.

"How are you feeling babygirl?" Noah asks, wrapping an arm around me.

I shrug my shoulders and take a glance a few lanes down from us. Fenton was up to bowl, but Ben wouldn't take his eyes off of me.

"So how long before I'll get to hear that gorgeous voice again?" Noah asks.

I giggle, causing him to smile and kiss my cheek. He pulls me into him as we watch our bandmates suck at bowling. I signal to Noah that I'm gonna grab a drink then head up to the snack stand to get it.

I pull out my phone and write 'I'm mute. Can I just get some water?'

The guy nods and goes to get my water when I hear my name from behind me. It's him.

"Hey, can we talk?" he asks.

I shake my head.

"AJ please. I'm asking for 5 minutes. I just wanna catch up" he says.

I shake my head again. The guy comes back with my water. I take it and go to walk off, but Fenton stops me.

"Why won't you speak to me? You normally always have something to say" he snaps.

My heart rate begins to pick up causing me to look down at my watch.

"My eyes are up here Acaria" he says.

My heart then skips a beat as I see Noah walk up.

"Leave her alone, man. She doesn't wanna speak to you so please just walk away" Noah says.

Fenton smirks and chuckles.

"Pathetic" he says then walks off.

I look at Noah who just pulls me into his arms. My legs then get weak. I set my water on the counter as everything then goes black.
