A/N: Needs proofreading but I'm lazy

Norton took a small sip of the wine from the customized glass made for his small hands. Well he wasn't small for a grown man,he was fairly large actually! However here, among the giants and creatures beyond the human realm,he was tiny.

How did a human like himself end up in the same room with some of the most deadliest things known to man? Why his greed of course!

In one of his failed attempts at striking it rich,he and some grave keeper had gotten together to dig up some old blood Graves. It worked for a while, they split the dough 50/50, until they almost got caught.

The grave keeper told him it was too dangerous to keep at it and to wait a few months before trying again. But Norton didn't like waiting around, not while there was still money to be found.

So he put on his best suit and stolen jewelry and found a spot at the local opera. He would spend concession wandering about, trying to get good with the men and woman. Unfortunately his charm didn't seem to work and he was about to head home for the day until he spotted a shy thing, standing in the shadows with a vail over her eyes.

Dressed in burgundy and black lace.

An introvert was the easy pickings he could pray upon!

So naturally he slaunted over, ready to charm his way into her pockets and purse.

"You seem a bit lost, need some help?" He asked pulling her attention away from the drink.

"Oh! I didn't expect anyone to see me,how do you do?" She gave a polite bow at the waist, a common sign of respect among higher noble woman.

"But you look so cute, especially the vail, how could I not?"

He watched her body language go from closed to open. She'd stopped shrinking in on herself and held her head up a bit higher.

"Really? My mother said I'd be too obvious with it on, thank you, you look very handsome yourself! The little side sweep is so cute" she motioned at her own head the sweep of her head she was talking about.

"Ah shoot,Is it?" He didn't want his hair to part like that!

"Noooo don't fix it! I like it like that!"

"Really? I thought it looked stupid" he mimicked her and mentality fist pumped. So far so good! Now to see how high her family ranked,"You look familiar,I just can't put my finger on it"

"Do I? Oh you must be well traveled then, have you been to The shades?" She asked, tossing a drink and pulling out an umbrella he didn't know she had.

"The shades...shades...I think so? You'll have to refresh my memory, what was your family's last name?" They always fell for this, hook, line and sinker.

"The Morgoreins"

He'd never heard of that family before in his life, they were either extremely rich, out of town or a bunch of no bodies.

"Mmm did your family recently come to town? How long have the been around?"

"My family? Oh we've been here longer than this town was even thought of"

Yeah he was calling B.S. This city was old as dirt and the only family old enough to match that were the Nittany family.

"Really? You'll have to show me some time," the buildings light started to dim,"here, you can come sit with me" he took a gloved hand and guided her the seats he'd stolen.
