They pulled up outside the therapist's office in Jericho.
"Dr Kinbott's office is on the second floor. Other Nevermore students swear by her." Weems turned to look at Wednesday who was in the back seat.
"And you'll be waiting here until I'm done?" Wednesday glanced at Y/N then at Weems.
"Perhaps afterwards we can visit the Weathervane for hot chocolate." Weems smiled at Wednesday sweetly.
"Principal Weems, this feeble attempt at bonding is beneath you. And chauffeuring your students around is below your pay grade." Wednesday opened the door, climbing out of the car as Y/N climbed out after her.
"Given your history, I'm sure you're intent on running away. I'm here to prevent that from happening." Weems had a bitter sweet smile gracing her lips.
"I wish you luck." Wednesday slammed the door, heading inside with Y/N by her side.
Kinbott led Wednesday into her office, there hadn't been much conversation yet.
"I read the notes from your school counsellor." Kinbott closed the door behind Wednesday.
"Mrs Bronstein. She had a nervous breakdown after our last session and had to take a six month sabbatical." Wednesday walked over toward the two armchairs.
"Go ahead and take a seat." Kinbott gestured to the seat opposite herself.
"How did you feel about that?" Kinbott followed Wednesday in sitting down.
"Vindicated. But someone who crochets for a hobby isn't a worthy adversary." At Wednesday's words, Kinbott leaned backwards with a wide smile on her face.
"Adversary? I hope we can forge a relationship based on trust and mutual respect. This is a safe space, Wednesday. A sanctuary where we can discuss anything. What you're thinking, feeling, your views on the world, personal philosophy." Kinbott leaned forward with an excited look in her eyes.
"Gag." Y/N looked around the room as Wednesday hid a scoff.
"That's easy. I think that this is a waste of time. I see the world as a place that must be endured, and my personal philosophy is kill or be killed." Wednesday glared toward Kinbott as Y/N checked out the bathroom.
"So, for instance, when someone bullies your brother, your response is to dump piranha in the pool." Kinbott hadn't lost her smile yet, but she would soon.
"My sister made me memorise the old saying, never bring a knife to a sword fight. Unless it's concealed." Wednesday held back a smirk as Kinbott frowned.
"The point is, you assaulted a boy, and showed no remorse for your actions. That's why you're here." Kinbott was still trying to get Wednesday to open up.
"He lost a testicle. I did the world a favour. People like Dalton shouldn't be allowed to procreate. I've answered all your questions." Wednesday got to her feet to leave.
"We're not done yet. Therapy is a valuable tool, to help you understand yourself. It can teach you new ways to deal with your emotions. It can also help you build a life that you want." Kinbott smiled widely as Wednesday took her seat with a frown.
"I know the life that I want." Wednesday kept a straight face but there was annoyance in her eyes.
"Tell me about it. Everything said in these sessions is strictly confidential. Do your plans involve becoming an author? I understand you've written three novels about a teen girl detective, Viper De La Muerte. Can you tell me about her?" Kinbott pressed.
"Viper is smart, perceptive, chronically misunderstood." Wednesday was sick of Kinbott and how she was all smiles and rainbows.
"Any luck getting your work published?" Kinbott continued to try and get Wednesday to open up.
