The music in the watery dark,
It's calling out for you,
The wind, it is blowing, the gate is wide,
your face is turning blue.
The music in the watery dark,
and mermaids dance in the weeds,
their skin it shines, their eyes are dark,
they beckon in the reeds.
The music in the watery dark,
the candles shining sickly,
beyond the furthest darkest distance,
beyond all poisoned and prickly.
The music in the watery dark,
the serpent king is sleeping,
do not look in his yellow eye,
when fear and doubt is creeping.
The music in the watery dark,
you're drifting, drifting, dancing,
the music in the watery dark,
you're sinking, sinking, dancing,
the music in the watery dark,
and at the bottom dancing,
To the music in the watery dark,
you're at the bottom dancing.
