"Nope. Not happening, Angel boy." I said firmly, crossing my arms and levelling him my best stern expression.
"But just look at this, love. Isn't it gorgeous?" He pouted pointing at the pen inside the glass case.
"Sure." I deadpanned, "But not for freaking 4200 dollars."
"It's four thousand one hundred and ninety nine actually." He said quickly and then immediately took a step back when he saw the look on my face.
We were out at the mall today to buy Christmas presents for our family and friends and a half an hour later, I was dragged to some expensive, designer pen shop by my fiancé.
Can you even call this a pen shop? Pen boutique?
I honestly don't know but what I do know is that it almost gave me a heart attack when I saw the price tags.
"It's a limited edition. I have every single of this brand except for this and do you know how hard it is to get it? There's only 9 of them in the world. Do you get how important this is?" He ranted adorably, widening his pretty blue eyes.
Nah.
Not even those eyes are going to distract me from the price tag.
"Still no."
"Please, I wouldn't ask for anything else. I swear." He jutted out his bottom lip.
And that was when I processed something else that he said, "Wait a minute, you have every other pen of this brand?" I raised my brows.
He paled.
"W-wait. I can explain it, love."
"Go on then. Explain." I put my hands on my hips in an attempt to intimidate him like the way my Ma does when she's angry with Dad.
"I might have a slight obsession with pens. Just a little bit." He mumbled.
I sighed and turned on my heel, walking out of the store. Seconds later a hand tugged at the bottom of my shirt.
Maybe I was being a tad bit dramatic but I couldn't help but feel a little hurt at the fact that he tried to hide stuff from me.
"Are you angry, love?"
I did not reply and kept walking.
He tugged again, "I'm sorry, it's just.....I can't help it."
He groaned after a few more seconds of silent treatment, "Please, baby."
"It's fine," I muttered.
"You're still angry, aren't you?"
This man.
"No, I'm not. Maybe a bit disappointed that you decided to hide it from me." I said softly.
Or maybe he knew that I'd clearly say no. And I proved it right now, didn't I?
I see his expression crumble from the corner of my eye. The rest of the shopping was done quietly with him trailing behind me like a kicked puppy deprived of attention.
He glanced at me as we got into the car, "I didn't mean to hide it from you, love."
"It's okay,Az. I understand." I smiled at him.
"You didn't call me Angel boy. You're mad at me," he frowned
This time I couldn't help but laugh, "No, seriously, I'm not mad at you." And I leaned in and pecked him.
"Now, moving to the important part. I'm hungry," I grinned as he burst out laughing,
"Ofcourse you are,love."
