Golden Jackals live in North Africa, the middle east, and southern Asia. Golden Jackals sometimes help others predator to get the extra scraps of a kill. They can live up to 13 years. They eat mammals, fruit, birds, insects, and carrion. The golden Jackson's scientific name is canis aureus. They can be dirty yellow to reddish in color. They have some black on their back. They can weigh up to 31 pounds, which is a lot smaller than the 167 pound Gray wolf in its family.
