Red foxes live in most of North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. They eat mammals, birds, insects, fruit, carrion, scraps, and waste. Red foxes can live up to 10 years and are also known as the silver fox or cross fox. Their scientific name is vulpes vulpes. The upper part of their body is reddish in color but the bottom half is Gray and white with white markings on the throat.
