King Kong vs The Planet of the Apes ✅

Chapter 11

Upon the mountain where Kong slept in a cave, Cornelius, Zira and Maurice climbed. Inside the cave Nova awakened, as she smelled the scent of her father close by. As soon as the three apes reached the top of the mount, Maurice was met with flying arms. Nova held on tight so not to be lost again.

"I'm so glad you're safe." Maurice cried.

"We found Nova," started Cornelius "now where is this Kong?"

From the dark of the cave emerged the giant ape. Cornelius, amazed at the sight of such a creature only stared in disbelief and astonishment. The giant peered down at the four of them, feeling at ease. Believing he would no longer have to bare the burden of being scarred by the hands of man. But little did the giant ape know, not all who resembled him were friendly. From the skies above landed the two flying creatures, both Ursus and Aldo climbing off of them. Kong, sensing fear within the creatures looked at the two armored apes angrily and huffed.

"We have the giant in sight." spoke Ursus on his two-way radio.

     Kong turned his gaze upon the skies, spotting strange looking shapes cutting through the clouds. Cornelius, Zira, Maurice and Nova spotted them as well. Cornelius, puzzled at the sight, wondered why more apes were coming. But he soon realized that they weren't coming for him. They were coming for Kong.

"Run!" commanded Cornelius, as Kong scooped them all up his hand and made his way off the mountain.

     Ursus and Aldo mounted their flying creatures, giving chase to Kong, with their weapons drawn.

"He's escaping into the tall trees! After him!" commanded Ursus to the apes on the choppers.

     Running as fast as his age would let him, Kong barreled through the tall trees, knocking down almost each one as the choppers flew above and apes ran below. The limbs whacking his face, as he tried to get those he perceived as innocent out of harm's way. Luckily, just near the tail trees was a cave, but it was only big enough for the four he carried. He set the four at the entrance and barricaded it with a boulder, so that the bad apes couldn't get through. Kong turned as a horde of armored apes pointed rifles at him.

"STOP!!!" sounded a voice from the crowd of apes "I command you to lower your weapons."

"Maximus? What brings you out here?" asked Ursus.

"I left camp last night and came this way so that I may see this remarkable phenomenon."

"It's only a giant ape." huffed one of the gorillas "Let's take it down."

"No." said Maximus, staring down the beast "I want it captured."

The army of apes shouted in agreement of capturing Kong. Nets fell from above carried by the apes on the choppers. Kong, attempting to withstand the heavy net brought his fist down upon the ape army's heads. More apes came to try and contain the giant, but he kept resisting and resisting until he fell to his knees and onto the ground. Kong looked at the elderly orangutan. Anger mustered within him. He could feel that this ape was bad news.

     Within the cave Cornelius, Maurice, Nova and Zira walked along, hoping that their giant companion would not be harmed. Of course they had doubts about that being the case.

"Cornelius..." sighed Maurice, sitting on the ground "I don't know how much more... I can take..."

"We have to keep moving Maurice." Cornelius warned "We need to find another way out before they find it."

"I'm growing older..."

"Don't say that. I've seen you do many things. Please, don't give up yet. Not now."
