Ships roll in from the coastline
A sleeping city awaits
Where no man walks or talks
For the future belongs to apes

Apes of all kinds, shapes and sizes, peeked out of their windows at the sight of a ten story beast walking along the pavement, leaving prints within the cracks. The giant, feeling defeated stared at the statue of a woman holding her hand up high. He felt he knew the purpose of her existence. Even though he had never seen her, he felt she stood for something. Whatever that something was... it most certainly was not here.

"Apes!" called the orangutan elder, standing behind the podium "Do not fear! For we have not only discovered the God Amongst Apes, we have captured him too."

Kong was stopped in front the elder. On each side of Kong was a building. On one primates of all kinds cheering on the rooftops at the discovery. On the other the elders, including both Maximus and Zaius. Kong feeling enraged by the sight of the two tried pulling the chains which held his wrists tight. The elder behind the podium continued on as gorillas pulled tighter. But Kong, with all his might flung the gorillas holding his right leg into the sky, stomping on the elder below.

"Force him down!" ordered one of the generals "Don't let him into the city!"

As gorillas poured from the buildings with guns toted Kong turned to building where Maximus only to find him gone. Kong fiercely beat his chest and took the top part of the building. Down below Kong saw Maximus and Zaius with three of their generals. Kong reached down to grab them, but it was too late, all of them entered into an elevator and had gone underneath the city. Kong, not wanting the two to get away threw the top of the building into the ocean, causing a wave of water to crash into the nearby buildings, flooding the apes that resided inside. At this point Kong didn't care who would be hurt or would be killed. All that mattered was his freedom. He wasn't going to let it be taken away. Not by man, not by ape, and he was going to level the entire city if he had to just to get his grip on Maximus.

     Though we may suffer
     We feel no pain
     For now we own
     What all of man gained

Deep underground, underneath the city Zira, Nova and Cornelius sat in their damp cold cells as a war broke out above. Maximus and Zaius stood perfectly still, as the whole underground shook.

"I gave you no reason to overthrow me." started Cornelius "All apes alike finally had what they wanted. But you... you went and erased it all. Now innocent apes are going to die because of you."

Both Maximus and Zaius, with guilt written on their faces, kept their eyes on the ceiling above.

Above the underground base Kong fought the hordes of gorillas, shooting him with their firearms as he made his way to statue he laid eyes on earlier.

"Ready!" shouted one of the generals standing on a rooftop with an army of gorillas behind him "Fire!"

Bullets flew pass Kong's head, a couple hitting his ear. In a fit of rage and pain Kong backhanded the building the gorillas stood upon. Each of them came down, but what Kong didn't expect was a baby chimp, crying and falling to the concrete below. He attempted to reach out and capture it, but gorillas from behind fired. Looking at the small puddle of blood in his hands Kong knew he could no longer fight. He looked around at the windows in the buildings. Chimps, orangutans, gorillas, monkeys, young and old stared in sheer terror. Kong, feeling weaker with every shot taken inched his way to the statue. With only a few feet to spare he saw the sight of a flying pointed object coming from the sky. Much larger than the bullets that riddled his body.

The sun may fall
Then rise in the east
There was no more beauty
It was beast that killed beast
