One month. All it took was one month. In one month the Shelby's and Millie's life had changed. Following the fight, no one in Small Heath saw Millie. No one knew if she still lived in her home or if she had left.

Though Arthur and Finn were seen buying flowers and dresses everyday, no one knew where Millie was or how she was doing. She wasn't seen shopping for food, shopping for clothes, or helping out the Shelby's.

The only thing that made people think she was still there was the fact that Arthur was seen going in and out everyday. Every morning Arthur Shelby walked out of her home, his smile ear to ear. Every night he returned with an arrangement of flowers in one hand or a box in the other.

Some said Millie had passed away and he took her flowers everyday to pay his respects. Others said she had stolen money from the Shelby's so she had run away, leaving Arthur to claim her home.

In reality Millie was living her best life. She finally had the small family she always wanted. She and Arthur acted as a married couple, Finn acted like their child. She didn't feel the need to leave her home, whatever she needed Finn or Arthur would bring home.

Arthur and Thomas had made up, Thomas apologized for being rude and Arthur apologized for everything and anything he could think of. Millie didn't think of Thomas anymore, her focus was on Finn and Arthur.

However she did miss visiting the cut, helping Polly around the house, and John's jokes. Yet she felt safe, relaxed, and loved at home. She feared if she left her home she would be sad and alone once more.

"Good morning my love." She mumbled as she felt Arthur get up from bed.

"Good morning Millie." He whispered, pecking her lips.

Millie laid in bed, watching as he got dressed. As he finished, she finally sat up, Arthur sitting next to her. She smiled, wrapping her arms around him and pulling him closer. He smiled, snuggling into her chest. They sat in silence, Arthur caressing her thighs while she played with his hair.

"Pol said she needs to talk to you." He finally said, looking up at her.

"In person." He added.

"Pol?" Millie asked, furrowing her eyebrows. She and Polly had sent one another letters through Finn but neither of them had seen one another during that time.

"I won't force you to do anything you don't want to. If you aren't ready to go out, I'll tell her to forget it." He began to ramble, sitting up.

Millie remained quiet, trying to think about what Polly could possibly have to tell her that she couldn't write about. Were the Shelbys in trouble?

"Of course my love, let me get dressed." She said softly, getting up.

Most women's dresses fit them loose, either the bust was too loose or the waist was too loose. The dresses Millie wore hugged her curves, she never wore loose dresses. She always stood out for the way her dresses complemented her body.

"How did I get so bloody lucky." Arthur grinned, standing to admire Millie.

"How did I get so lucky to be with such an amazing man." Millie smiled walking to him, pecking his lips.

The two made their way downstairs to find Finn already sitting at the parlor table. He grinned, standing to hug Millie. Millie hugged him back, kissing his cheek. Arthur sat, taking the paper Finn had brought.

"You look pretty Millie." Finn blushed, sitting back in his seat.

"Thank you my love, you look as handsome as ever." She smiled, walking into the kitchen.
