Millie knew she had upset Tommy. From sleeping at Freddie's, not telling him about Ada, to showing herself to Kimber she knew the past two days were bad.

Although she wanted to go back to her own home, Tommy dragged her back to his room. Polly and Finn watched as Millie looked down, avoiding their eyes. As they walked up the stairs and into his room, Tommy threw her onto his bed.

"I know I've messed up but you can't just throw me around like a rag doll!" Millie shouted as she sat up on the bed.

Tommy stared at her as if daring her to say something else. Millie knew if she said anything else he'd snap at her. She sighed as she waited for him to say something. They both sat in the awkward silence for a moment.

Tommy couldn't help but feel upset. He knew Kimber was going to show up at the Garrison but he didn't expect Millie to be there. Although he knew Millie meant no harm by her actions that day, he was still upset.

It was out of character for her to be acting up, staying away, and keeping things from him. He needed someone who wouldn't question him and always be there for him. Her actions that day made him question her.

"Are you alright?" He finally asked, going to sit next to her.

She simply shrugged, looking  down at the floor.

"Kimber is a bad man Millie." He began, reaching out for her hand.

"I can tell Tommy." She whispered quietly, not reacting to his movements.

"I don't want to be arguing with you."

"I don't either."

"Then?"

"Then what Tommy?"

"Why are you acting like this?"

"Like what?"

"I know you weren't walking around last night! I can tell when you lie Amelia!" He started, dropping her hand and standing back up.

"I know you didn't come after me! You stayed with the barmaid, alone!" Millie shouted back, standing up.

"What is it with you and that bloody barmaid?! I don't feel any type of way for her! Why do you insist on fighting over her!" Tommy asked, stepping closer to her.

"I don't want to argue Thomas! I'm just stating the obvious! You're upset I didn't want to be in the same household as you after I saw the way you looked at her? You know damn well if I looked at a man other than you you'd have their head on a plate within the hour!" Millie said, not stepping back.

"You're upset just because I looked at another woman? Are you listening to yourself?" Tommy asked, looking at her as if she was crazy.

As she saw the look on his face she couldn't help but wonder if he was right. She knew Tommy had never intentionally tried to hurt her so why would he start now. Although she began to doubt herself she still didn't back down.

"I only have eyes for you Amelia. I only love you. I'm getting a bit tired of reassuring you of that." Tommy sighed, rubbing his eyes.

"You've been different Thomas and I don't like that." Millie said, looking away from him.

"I went to France Millie, part of me stayed there." He said softly, gently grabbing her face and turning it to find her blue eyes.

"I know Tommy." She replied, looking down.

"I still only want you Amelia Brooks. You're still the love of my life." He smiled softly at her, raising her chin up.

"I'm sorry Tommy." She cried, wrapping her arms around his torso and burring her face in his chest.
