Chapter 2: Mate

Taehyung's POV.

It was my second day as the seventh Alpha of Alpha Walkers and also my second day at the main pack house. It was in Waxing Crescent Moon territory which was at the center of all the territories of Alpha Walkers and Alpha Yoongi lead this part of Alpha Walkers.

I am from Waning Crescent Moon territory where Jin hyung was the Alpha. With Jimin hyung's suggestion I moved in to the pack house the same day after the fight, after I became the Alpha of the Full Moon. Since I had no family or anyone back home, I didn't had a reason to stay there any longer. Jimin hyung was from Waning Crescent too. We grew up together and that was how Jimin hyung was close to me and has always been there for me.

My room was in the first floor along with the other five Alpha's chambers. The head Alpha's chamber was in the second floor.

I pulled the blinds letting in the morning sunlight into the room. Once the sunlight hit my face, I closed my eyes inhaling deeply. I felt great joy feeling the warmth of the sun. I stood there running my hand through my hair and looked out to the surroundings of the pack land. I saw people of all ages moving around starting off the day.

I still couldn't believe I was the 7th Alpha now. If I didn't win that fight I would still be in Waning Crescent Moon in my old house. Things had changed so fast. I had finally fulfilled my dream and I was in one of the Alpha's chamber as one of the Alphas. As I stood there by the window, flashback of what happened the previous day came flooding in my mind.

I remember the moments in the field when the fight was still on, when I fought focussing only on the fighter in front of me. I wasn't even looking at how many fighters were still standing and who were down, I just kept fighting. The moment the crowd started cheering was the moment I noticed all the other fighters were down. I looked around not believing that I had won the fight, my vision getting blurred because of the tears that started to filled up my eyes. Only when Jin hyung and Jimin hyung hugged me, congratulating me, I was finally able to digest that I had actually won the fight. 

Up on the stage when I came face to face with Alpha Jeon I was drowned in his dominance. I couldn't even make eye contact with him. My wolf V wanted to take over. May be because V sensed a very dominant and stronger alpha and felt insecure. And when Alpha Jeon and my hand touches for the first time, I had a hard time controlling V. Since Alpha Jeon was a trueblood alpha, any wolf would fear him and so was V. Above that, V was very protective of me and him.

When Alpha Jeon started speaking, seeing how gentle he was towards me, V started to calm down. Alpha Jeon was very kind and courteous, it was quite the opposite from his aura that screamed dominance. Also his voice was very soothing and that made me and V felt at ease and relax in his presence.

Alpha Jeon was also very gentle when he cut my wrist to draw the blood. He treated me like I was a little kid. It made me feel giddy remembering how he treated me. I would have been mad if anyone treated me like Alpha Jeon did but with him I don't know why but I just loved the way he treated me or the way he spoke to me.

And When our blood were mixed, I felt a surges of energy spreading throughout my entire body. Every cell in my body sparked. I also felt a wave of bliss and a sense of awakening. It was overwhelming. It felt like I was having a free fall, my consciousness far away from reality.

I didn't realized I was losing my balance until Alpha Jeon held me. And at that very moment, I felt that nothing could ever go wrong with me. I felt a sense of safeness and security in his touch. May be it was because he was our head Alpha, he was there to lead and protect us. Yes that has to be the reason.

'Knock knock'

I looked at the time and it was 8.45. I opened the door and Jimin hyung smiled brightly at me.
"Good Morning! You ready?" 
"Yes Alpha!" I said nodding. I had never been that ready in my life.
"Oh come on! Drop the formality, you can call me Alpha when we are on pack duties. Alright?" Jimin hyung said ruffling my hair.
"Okay hyung."
"Oh you are so sweet, come on, I don't want you to be late on your first day." With that we both made our way to the north wing of the pack house building where the offices were.
