The plot thickens - hopefully. Vote, comment, enjoy.
Loki spent an hour cleaning up Lestat's blood from the shower cabin and the bathroom floor, then he collapsed on the bed, falling into a deep sleep. He woke up late in the afternoon. He watched the rays of the sun beaming through the cracks of the wooden blinds. He felt a bit drained, yet strangely rested. He thought about Lestat's tongue on his neck, his teeth and those voluptuous little moans he made while he was drinking from him and felt himself getting turned on. He frowned and went to take a cold shower to distract himself. He got dressed and headed out to grab something to eat. He sat outside a little café, watching the mortals going about their business. He went to the gym, working his muscles, focusing on strengthening his core until the place started to fill up with humans coming from work. He washed himself in the communal shower and walked home.
He went to the kitchen to grab an apple, when he felt a familiar warm presence around him. He let out a sigh and embraced himself for an unpleasant conversation.
'Son, you look tired.' Frigga said, appearing next to him.
She was wearing a long, silver gown, timeless in its flowy shape, an elaborate white leather belt around her hips. Her stunning, strawberry blonde waves pinned up in an intricate bun.
'Mother, what a pleasant surprise. I'm just trying to stay in shape.'
Frigga smiled and reached out to caress his face, but he pulled away. He knew why she came.
'How are you?' she asked, her voice gentle.
'I'm fine, thank you. Taking a little vacation. I've become fond of the Midgardian hospitality. Aren't you happy?'
'I am happy that you finally learned to appreciate the Midgardian culture just like me, yet you have duties to attend to.'
Loki sighed and finished his apple.
'I'm fully aware.'
'Are you? Then what's the reason for the delay in replying to Hades' invitation? Your Father is keen to send you there, so that...'
'I don't need a lecture on politics, Mother. Hades can wait a little longer.'
The sound of the front door opening halted their argument. They heard a girl laughing at a man's joke about the winters in New Orleans. They both turned towards the corridor and a couple arrived shortly after, stopping in their tracks when they noticed Loki and Frigga in the kitchen. Lestat appeared behind them, wearing a light blue double-breasted blazer with a white shirt. They were all dressed smartly, like they were coming from a business reception. The Marquis told the couple to go to the library room and stepped into the kitchen with a curious smile.
'Good evening. My apologies, I wasn't aware you have a guest.' he told Loki, greeting Frigga with an elegant little bow of his head. 'And such a beautiful one.'
Frigga flashed a bright smile at Lestat, returning his bow. Loki rolled his eyes.
'You must have missed the pigeon post.' he replied snarkily. 'Mother, this is Lestat de Lioncourt. He lets me stay here during my vacation.'
'Mr. Lioncourt, lovely to make your acquaintance and thank you for your hospitality.' Frigga said, still smiling.
'It's my honour.' Lestat said, looking at Loki who wanted to grab him and push him out of the kitchen. 'I can see I'm intruding from the way your son is shooting daggers at me, so I shall take my leave.'
Frigga let out a short chuckle and Loki stared at her mother in shock. Surely, she wasn't falling for Lestat's syrupy charm.
'Yes, I'm afraid I've spoiled him a little bit. You must forgive his manners.' Frigga replied and Loki wanted to sink into the ground and disappear from this hell on Earth.
