Rain

Who doesn't love the rain? I, who lives in California, have learned to love and appreciate the rain because, to be honest, we do get rain for two thirds of the year or more. It's even more fun when your home alone with no homework to do and you just get to read all day. Seriously, the feeling of being snuggled in a blanket, hot drink in hand, while reading a great book is the best feeling I can get. Sadly, the kind of rain we get here in Cali is cold rain. I really wish we had monsoonal rains so I can run around in shorts and a t-shirt, and my mother won't have a reason to yell at me while I do so. It's so hilarious, I really don't care if I get my hair wet when it drizzles or it's slightly raining, so I often don't wear my hood. Every single time I do this, my mother will literally scream: "CAT!!!! PUT YOUR HOOD ON!!!" :D. It's all in good fun. However, it's not fun when you forget your jacket when it rain!!! Fun story about what happened today:

I go to school thinking," OH, it's not going to rain today." (Lately, even when it says that there is going to be a 99% chance of rain it does not rain, pooh.) Well guess what finally decided to show up today, the pouring rain. So on the way from 5th to 6th period, it starts to rain lightly. Yeah, no biggy. I did not say the same thing when I went out of 6th period. It was raining harder and I knew that by about 4 or 5 o' clock, it would be coming down in sheets. What was even more fun was that I had to walk about one or two blocks to get to where my mother was going to pick me up. By the time I got to where I was supposed to go, I was slightly cold/ wet and ready to get dry. But what did I see when I heard a text message on my phone, this: meet me at the MPR, running late <3 - mom. *SIGH* By the time I had walked back to my school, it rain was very close to raining cats and dogs, not to mention the fact that my shoes where soaked to my toes. L And then I get another text from my mother: Come back to where I usually pick you up (the place that is a block or two away), too much traffic at your school. *FACEPALM*(it's pretty funny when I think about it). So I call my mother, telling her that I can't walk all the way back due to rain, and she agrees to pick me up at the MPR. Thankfully. Yet for some reason, while I'm waiting for my mother, I keep thinking of my crush putting his jacket around me because I don't have mine. DERP??? This was me in my mind while I was thinking about that:

ME: *Standing under the building cover trying to keep out of the rain* so cold

Crush: *magically appears out of thin air like a freaking god* here, have my jacket

Me: *blushes like a Japanese school girl* thank you

*Friend pokes me in the rib and trance shatters into a thousand pieces*

LOL, That didn't happened, but a girl can dream. Anyways I felt like writing this to honor the rain. I bet the rain give zero effs though.....
