Chapter 21

They got out of the car. Kayla always hated it when she was with someone alone.
No,she really hated it. But seeing Ezra around gave her a sense of security she never knew of.

No words were exchanged, only silence lingered through the air.

"Astha and Lucy better come here now or else they're dead."

Finally after some minutes,they came with some cans and sandwiches.

Man,did they eat good.

They drove and finally saw Leila who was in the car with a confused expression on her face.

"Leila!"Astha shouted.

"Leila!"Lucy also shouted.
She could not hear any of them until Kayla's anger finally decided to shout.

"LEILA!!"

Finally she turned and stopped the car as the others got down.

"Astha, Lucy"She hugged the both of them."You followed me?"

"Yes Leila."Astha replied."I saw everything."

She nodded and went to Kayla but when she was about to hug her,she shifted aside.

"You left them to take mom away and you did not do anything?"

"No. it's not what you're thinking. She saved me and this has served as a punishment to me."

"Yes."She said."Yes it has. If you had been tough enough she wouldn't have been in that situation."

"Kayla I'm sorry."She begged and hugged her instead she pushed her.

"Kayla!"Astha shouted as she held her.

"Leave me alone and never come near me. You hid such things from me? From your sister?"

"I....."She was about to speak but seeing that what she was saying was indeed true,she did not.

"You guys what's the matter here?"Lucy asked concerned.

"Nothing."Replied Kayla.

Kayla stared at Ezra who looked totally confused.
She went into the car and closed her eyes.

They just stood there looking at themselves until some dark figures appeared in the midst.

"Looks you all are lost."He said wickedly.
"Don't worry. You will be taken.....to your creator."

"Get in the car."Ezra shouted and finally they were in.

As Ezra was driving,the demons chased and shot a dark purplish smoke on them.

"I can slow them down that means one of you should drive."

"I can."Leila said and switched places with Ezra.

He sat at the back seat.
"Where is that holy water you were talking about?"

"It's here."Kayla responded and gave it to him.
"But we should add some more water to it that way it will be plenty?"

"No. It doesn't work like that now cover me."
"But..."She said confused."I can't fight them?they are demons right?"

As soon as she said,one of the demons threw his powers beside the car almost letting Astha fall down but Lucy pulled her up before she could fall down.

"Yes they are so hurry."He shouted.

"No I can't."She replied almost crying. She decided to help by pulling out a stick from the car boot but the courage she gathered shuttered into pieces.

"Humans."He said."Why don't all of you contribute."
