Diamonds shined above me,
but your eyes gleamed across me
with a determination
I've never seen before
With a silent promise,
To shine brighter than the stars
Smiling down at us
When the undulations blurred you
I stood there calmly
Waiting for you
Because I know next time we see
You'll be different,
You'll be better.
