After finally getting Lesley to stabilize, Monica finally was able to find and talk to Rick and to let him know that Lesley was okay though Monica wanted to keep her sedated at least for another few days and hopefully she was hopeful that she was be able to bring Lesley out of the medical induced coma
“ But she'll be okay Monica.... She has to.”
Monica set a hand on Rick's shoulder. “ You know better than anybody that I can't promise or guarantee it but I'm promising you this I am gonna continue to fight for her.”
“ I appreciate that, Monica.”
Rick stayed at Lesley's side hoping she'd soon be brought out of acoma and he'd be able to tell her about how the girls have started to get big and his Jesslyn doesn't like bath time. Over the next month and a half, Monica with Bobbi's help had started to bring Lesley out of the induced coma and was thrilled that Lesley continued to remain stable and she started to wake up with Rick at her side
“ I'm right here Lesley.... And to see your beautiful smile..... It's a godsend..”
Lesley tried to reach for Rick's hand and Rick moved to sit closer at her side. “ I'm right here angel and I'm not going anywhere until it involves that you come home.”
“ I.... I love you..” Lesley started to get tired which gave Rick some time to get the girls together to bring them up to see her
“ I love you very much Lesley... Just rest.” Rick gave Lesley a kiss and turned down the lights in her room so she could rest.
Rick stepped out to check on the twins and hopefully he was gonna try to get some sleep himself but getting sleep was easier said than done as Lesley was still in the intensive care unit under critical care. Walking up just 2 hours later, Rick got up and went to sit at Lesley's side throughout the night .
“ Ri... Rick.... You should go on home. I'll be al... Alright.” Lesley insisted.
“ As tempting as you make it sound, Sweetheart I just can't leave your side.”
“ Rick please.... I promise you that I will be okay and Jessie is staying on the night shift.” Lesley carefully shifted to look over at Rick.
“ Rick, I know that you are worried... I am scared too.. but I'm gonna be okay..... Please go on home and get some real sleep. And kiss the girls for me, tell them I love them and I miss them.”
“ I actually have a surprise for you and I spoke to Monica about this so it's okay... Are you ready.” Rick said with a smile
“ Rick, it's late... I really want you to go get some sleep at home with the girls.”
“ Bobbi, you can bring in her surprise.” Rick called out shortly after he got her to keep her eyes closed.
Bobbi came in with Genesis and later told Lesley to open her eyes as he wasn't successful at hiding his grin as Genesis started to make some noise.
“ Mommy is okay little one, she's right here.” Rick said as he brought her over to sit with Lesley.
“ Richard Webber, you are very sneaky but that's why I love you..” Lesley leaned over to give Rick a kiss.
“ Well she couldn't wait to see and come spend some time with you.... The girls have missed their beautiful and stubborn mother.”
“ Where's Jess.... Is she alright?” Lesley looked at Rick trying not to get upset
“ She's at home sweetheart, she's okay.... She's got a cold so I told Bobbi to leave her with Ruby and to just bring Genesis. Everything is okay.”
“ I miss my girls.... I just want to get home to them..”
