"You're hogging her." Esidisi whined.
"I don't have the slightest idea of what you're talking about." Kars feigned.
"She hasn't left your lap since nightfall." Wamuu added, never breaking his bow and never looking away from the ground, too fearful to look his lord in the eye.
Uncomfortably, you squirmed in Kars' lap. A large hand of his left its rest to settle over your hip immediately, fueling Esidisi's tearful complaints and slowly feeding into Wamuu's growing jealousy of his master. This was his first time feeling such a powerful, such a human emotion, he grew worried if even his masters could feel the heated greed coming off of him in waves.
"You enjoy my lap, isn't that correct, dear?" Kars' silky voice whispered in your ear. Still worried over your own safety while sitting in between wha felt like three hungry wolves, you stayed silent.
"A unanimous yes!"
"That isn't how that works!" Esidisi finally snapped, "She should decide who she would like to lay with! She must be tired of your greedy claws sinking into her skin!"
Kars frowned in anger. Silently, he moved in his seat, mulling over what has been said. Finally he decided. Rather unflatteringly, he kicked you out of his lap, almost sending you flying into the hard ground if it wasn't for Wammu's arms that caught you. Esidisi yelled at Kars, meanwhile Wamuu was just glad to feel you in his hold.
"Fine, the woman can decide with whom she wants to stay with." Kars ignored the other lords ranting, "Well then, take your pick. Just remember who you're wedded to." He then smiled menacingly. Just then as if to agree, the ring holding your poison squeezed around your trachea. You weren't sure if Kars had the ability to do it himself or if it was just your breathing picking up pace.
"It was just like this before! All those years ago with the first human!" Esidisi screeched, sending your eyes rolling back into your head. It was a common story to hear. No one ever specified who the woman was, it was only hints at what used to be, a bride shared by the last of the remaining Pillar Men, probably nothing more than dust at this point, but it came up frequently when Kars was manhandling you and refusing to let go.
You tuned out their arguing, melting into Wamuu's arms instead. Unlike Kars, there was a softness to Wamuu's touch that you enjoyed.
You tapped his shoulder to get his attention. "What's the matter, mistress?" He asked softly.
"I'm tired." It came out with a involuntary yawn to prove your point.
"Would you like me to take you to your resting room?"
The innocent question sparked the attention of his two masters. They stopped their fighting to stare at you, in his arms. "What do you think you're doing?" Kars asked. Wamuu froze still, nervous of the cold stares. "Our lady would like to sleep." He said plainly.
"Oh, my lovely orchid, would you like to lay in my arms tonight? I can keep you warm." Esidisi purred as he came closer, a hand coming up to brush your hair.
"You'll boil her blood." His superior countered with venom. "She can sleep with me. I won't do such a thing."
If only looks could kill.
"I think she should stay with me." Wamuu smiled, "You both are two strong, I am much more gentle, you'll only snap her in two."
His masters looked lost, Wamuu had a point. It was almost humorous how quick these three could switch up their emotions. If only you weren't so tired, you would've teased them farther. But now wasn't the time for it.
The room fell silent once you jumped out of Wamuu's arms. You grabbed his hand and Esidisi's in the other, and gestured to Kars to follow. Confused but eager to see what you were getting at, they followed. They trailed you into the 'bed' room (it resembled an animal nest more than a bed, but it was comfortable). It was where you slept ever since they took you as a trophy of their first battle won in the new world. For being just a hostage, they treated you nicer then Joseph and Caesar during their battle. Maybe it was because you weren't a hamon user like them, and the Pillar Men had some decency. Or maybe it had to do with that wife from the past? Maybe you reminded them of her. Did they think of you as a replacement? That was a little disheartening.
"Sit." You commanded Esidisi. He settled down in the blankets and duvets, you settling between his legs, Esidisi looking pleased with himself. As for Wamuu, you asked him to lay next to Esidisi's lap, patting your thighs for him to rest his head on. And for Kars, he accompanied your other side, snaking an arm around you to force your face into his chest.
"Hmph. This isn't ideal... but it will suffice." He murmured into your hair. You used him like a pillow, a hand subconsciously running through Wamuu's short hair as you drifted off. Their combined heat was comfortable, and Kars' chest was soft enough.
His eyes drifted down to Wamuu, perfectly content with your hand in his hair, and Esidisi behind you happy to have you in his lap. He huffed and closed his eyes again. Pillar Men didn't need something as useless as sleep like lowly humans, but he'd play pretend this once if it kept you happy. Soon again he'd get you back into his arms.
