In celebration of hitting rank 2 in the Weather Report tag <3 which means nothing nowadays but my ape brain still got excited

The dress you wore that night looked beautiful on you, he thought. The way it hugged your body and accentuated your curves had something inside the man stirring up. Not that he'd act on such feelings. Tonight was a night to celebrate. With friends, with you. But he thought the shimmer of the dress looked great with the color you picked out.

Right now you and Emporio were the only ones on the dance floor. Not that anyone minded. The party was slowing to an end but that didn't mean your spirits had to stop. And Foo Fighters gave the kid too much sugar, so someone needed to dance the energy out of him.

Weather Report thought it was adorable how you let the kid stand on your feet while you swung his hands to and fro in a swing type dance.

Emporio was all giggles with the extreme movement before he jumped away from you, explaining how he was going to go find Anasui to bug him. You waved him off with a happy laugh.

You practically collapsed into the seat next to Weather Report, out of breath but enjoying life. "He is so cute~! Don't you think?" You asked him.

You're cuter.

"He was. I think you both did great."

"I love Emporio. And the rest of your gang! I'm so happy Jolyne and her father invited me along." It came out as a dreamy sigh. You stole the rest of the drink in his glass, the red wine sliding down your throat with no problem. Not that he minded. He certainly had enough already. The liquor had a pleasant buzz starting in his head.

"Do you dance often?" Weather Report asked softly.

"Not at all. To be honest... This is my first time dancing since highschool prom," You giggled, covering wine stained teeth with your hand.

Weather Report stood up from his seat, he patted down the pants of his two piece and looked across the dark sea of the dance floor. It was past midnight, almost time for the rented out building to be closing. Lights were being turned off by staff, but some were still on, illuminating the small patch of checkered floor Emporio and you were using before. It reminded the silver haired man of a spotlight dance.

"Care to join me for one last dance?"

He watched you think about it for a moment. And then your face morphed into a happy grin, "Of course! Jolyne and Hermes have been keeping me occupied all night, I think it's time me and you finally got to dance."

Weather Report offered his hand. You took it gratefully, and he pulled you up and into his chest. "You look amazing, by the way. I love the suit."

"I could say the same. That dress looks beautiful on you."

Though I'd prefer to see it on the floor. He had to do a double take after that train of thought.

Maybe he did have enough wine tonight.

With a gentle grip on your hands, he guided you to the floor. He placed one of your hands on his shoulder, and did the same, while your right stayed in his and got lifted higher, above your heads. "Have you ever done a waltz before?" Weather asked you with his face pressed close to yours. "I'm afraid I haven't. Not that I know, at least... Eh heh, sorry."

He shook his head, "Don't apologize, it's alright. I'll show you a basic dance, so it's easier to follow. Ready?" You didn't say anything, you only stared into his icy blue eyes and nodded to show you understood. "Just follow my footing."
