We went to see a movie call Gredor’s Past. It was good but kind of a chick flick. We headed home. When we made it, Max and Becca were at the door. “How was the full moon?”
He smiled at Marcy and hugged her. “Awesome.”
Becca cleared her throat, “Has Trinity arrived yet?”
“She just did.” Trinity was lowering herself to us slowly on her broom.
“Young ladies where have you been?”
I answered, “Oh, we’re sorry. You weren’t here so we went out to eat.” She nodded and opened the door. Anna appeared in front of us.
She bowed, “Hello Trinity, Becca.”
“Where are Niko and Gabriel?”
“Father had errands, and Niko is on the balcony with Eva.” Trinity snapped her fingers; Eva and Niko appeared but fell to the ground. We laughed at them. She snapped again, and Emily appeared sleep on the ground.
I shook her shoulder, “Emily wake up!” S
he replied groggily, “Five more minutes.”
Marcy took her wand out, “This is not the time for sleep, bring Emily to her feet!”
Marcy made the wand movements for the spell and up Emily went. Trinity says it’s all about the wand movement, and the words are just for helping us focus.
“Wait, what?” She looked around dazed.
Trinity began to walk in one direction, everyone followed, and I guided Emily. “In two weeks time you’ll be going back to Earth. So you must learn how to open the portal to get to and fro.”
We stopped. “Each of your wands has its own personal way to do this. Lux, can you guess what yours might be by looking at your wand?”
I studied my paint brush shaped wand, “Do I paint it?”
Her face lit up, “Yes dear, you have it. Eva, what about you?”
She looked at hers, “Sew it?”
Trinity nodded, “Marcy, and you?”
Marcy perked up, “I draw it of course!”
Trinity chuckled at her excitement.
“My wand looks like a fairy toy, do I act like I’m a fairy to open it?” Nari questioned looking as innocent as possible.
“I’m sorry my dear, keep trying.”
Emily, now fully awake asked, “Do I pull it out of a hat?”
Trinity shook her head.
Akira held hers studying it, “Can’t I just shape this into a key and open it?”
Trinity laughed, “If you want.”
For the remainder of our time, Emily and Nari worked on figuring out how their wands were suppose to open the portal, Akira, Eva, Marcy, and I worked on our spells. On the last day, Nari and Emily still hadn’t figured it out but it didn’t matter. Everyone was there to watch us leave. Max wanted Marcy to stay a little longer but she assured him she’d be back soon. “Lux will you do the honor?” I nodded and stood in front of the golden arch. I held my wand out and began swiping the opening as if it was a canvas. The purple followed my wand and spread until it was swirling around in the arch. “Let’s go guys.” Emily, Nari, and Akira were first. Marcy hugged Max one last time, and Eva hugged Niko. The three of us jumped through together.
