After explaining step number one to me, Jace and I continued to talk about the randomest things.

But I was really focused about this plan so I immediately initiated the first step and kept my distance from him the whole day. Well, not entirely. He usually was the one who started up the topics and kept conversations going.

After three hours of strolling around the city, we bid our farewells and went our separate ways.

I was about to drive home when I realized that I wouldn't have anything to do. So I drove up to Kendall's house.

Once I arrived, I took my duplicate of her house keys and went inside. Before climbing up to her room though, I made a beeline to the kitchen and grabbed snacks and drinks.

After grabbing all the things I needed to hang out with my best friend, I went up the stairs to her room and went in without bothering to knock.

As usual, I found her in her bed asleep. Being the loving friend that I am, I set down the food on her coffee table and turned on her speakers to the fullest volume and played rave music.

She didn't wake up. I rolled my eyes and ripped the duvet off of her and immediately, she woke up. She couldn't handle cold temperatures very well so this was the easiest way to wake her up.

"Hey..." I said dragging off the 'y'.

"Hi. What are you doing here?" Kendall asked rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

I looked at her in a 'duh' look, "do you even have to ask that?"

"Well why did you think I asked?"

"Are you serious? I have the right to come in here since you gave me your house keys?" I say to her, "but anyways, I brought snacks!" I told her with a huge smile plastered onto my face.

She glanced at the coffee table before saying, "those are from my fridge."

"Yeah, but I prepared them"

"Those are instant"

"Why aren't you appreciating my effort?" I fake sobbed, "I thought we were best friends!" I ran in slow motion to the door for full effect.

"Shut up drama queen." She finally stood up from her bed and walked over to her couch and ate the snacks. "So how's the plan going on? Is it working?"

I sat beside her and planted my legs on her lap before grabbing a handful of popcorn, "in all graciousness, I think it's actually working!"

"You're not just shitting me right? You're actually telling the truth?"

"Yeah! I actually think it's working. We're at the first step but I feel like the moving on vibes are coming on to me" I say with buttery hand gestures in the air.

"That's a little exaggerated, isn't it?" Kendall says with popcorn falling out of her mouth. I did not need to see that.

I looked at her and back at the tv, "well, probably. But that's how I feel"

"Are you sure it's not just love that you're feeling?" She stood up and pointed an accusing finger at me, "are you doing this just to make Jace fall in love with you?! Do you even actually want to move on from him?"

Before I could reply, she sat back down and said "that's enough of that standing business. Standing is so tiring!" Followed by a groan of annoyance.

"But you're fit as hell!"

She rolled her eyes at this.

"Anyway, no. No I'm not doing this so he can fall in love with me and neither am I doing this to make me closer to him. Trust my cupid powers on this, okay? I know what I'm doing."

In all honesty, it pained me to know that my best friends didn't find my idea nice. I would've known by now that they'll support me with my decisions. But as their best friend, I should just accept their opinions because in the end, if I end up heartbroken or not, I'll come crawling back to them.

"I know and I completely trust you on this. It's just, I find it a little nutty okay?" Okay now I know if Kendall is dead serious about something if she starts pulling out English words. Not American English but British English.

"Okay, okay. I know you love me no need to pull out English words at me okay?" I said laughing. "Now enough of that. What was that new TV series you always wanted to watch?"

She then showed me this new tv series and we ended up watching it until season 12. Looking at the time, I saw it was 4 am.

A/N

This sucked. This is short. This took forever to update because school is coming up and I spent my summer very spontaneously with friends and family.

I will certainly be skipping ahead because it would be very boring and it would make the story progress slowly than being in a frenzy.

I am also thinking about writing a one-shot thing. I liked the idea sooo......
