Air Head

Luna Remy Sallow-Uley

Well that was interesting.

Exiting the chilled, crowded history classroom as quickly as she could, Luna made a subtle effort to make herself scarce as she pondered the events of the relatively mundane lesson - save the apparent presence of a struggling vegetarian vampire.

The reminder of the blonde had the ravenette shuddering uncomfortably, disturbed by the rather actively detailed premonition that had come during time in the vampire's presence.

Another bloody mate.

The ravenette held back a groan at the knowledge. She didn't mean to seem dramatic or rude, but her life was simply complicated enough without the Fates meddling with her previously non-existent love life. She enjoyed the idea of living out her immortal days traveling the Mediterranean coast, visiting Forks and New Forest every few years and maybe adopting a cat and snake or two for company. Now she would likely end up pulled into the ridiculous amount of political and power-hunger complications that came with the vampire world.

At first she had been perplexed by the blondes endless inquiry, even finding his struggling state somewhat endearing when she picked up on how out of his element he was with general communication - something she could relate to - and how his body seemed to unnaturally tense every time another student would pass them or the class got too loud.

Originally, Luna had mistaken the vampire's actions for discomfort due to the number of students around them - which she still believed to be partially responsible for his actions - until their skin brushed as he offered her the shared history book they were offered. The ravenette rarely needed contact to trigger visions, but it would happen on occasion, so when the rather intimate images began dancing before her minds forefront like a well rehearsed, melodic play, she wanted to do nothing more then run from the vampire.

Luna was far from a romantic, she wasn't opposed to love, but she had never held an interest in any form of romantic relationships and was perfectly happy with her life - despite how chaotic and traumatic it could be at times. The demititan was a warrior of countless godly wars, fighting from early childhood in many lethal battles and generally had her head so deep in a painting or book for anyone to capture her attention, let alone recognise the attraction others felt for her. She wasn't oblivious, just innocently uninterested to the point where such emotions never registered to her.

Romantic love simply wasn't a priority in her life, she was the product of ancient shifters, daughter of the Titaness of night and the granddaughter of chaos, she herself a virtual goddess capable of rivalling the all powerful god of the skies. She adored her family and had been looking forward to spending the next few years with them living a relatively mundane life - as boring as it may have turned out to be. So for the first time in her young life, she cursed the gods of love and fate for throwing her into such uncharted waters, with creatures renowned for being so ridiculously devoted, overprotective and possessive - the only creatures worse were shifters, demons, angels and any general product of Selene.

She had never forsaken a god before - not that she had never considered it - not when witnessing the brutal mutilation of her parents, not for the deaths of her friends, nor for the pathetic sod excuse of a birth father that spawned her in a drunken stupor, not even for the physical absence of her own mother. So despite how childish it was, the ravenette did curse them for leaving her aimless on whatever path they had pathed for her.

The ravenette's breath hitched at the familiar chill of the un-dead approaching, with a façade of indifference, she continued to swerve and dance around the crowds, hoping to loose the Ambrose in the process. Thankfully, she was already heading in the direction of her next period class, gently pushing open the art room door and hiding from both the pursuing cold one and the unhelpful stares of the students around.
