Guilts of Love
Luna Remi Sallow-Uley
The next few days past easily in Forks, the ravenette taking advantage of the familiar forests and appreciating the beautiful starry nights - school was somewhat an awkward scene for the demititan but she was too distracted in her bliss of being home with the people she loved to truly care.
The night at the diner had been pleasant to a degree, the entire event having become easier after Isabella left early under the excuse of 'catch up home work' the school had provided her to aid in her transition so late in the year - she had neglected due to her past education history.
It wasn't a conscious discomfort with the brunette's presence, simply the fact that the dynamic of the three Quileute's and police chief had grown and adapted to suit the four over countless years of memories and connection - Isabella had simply never been around to fit into it.
Luna had found out more about her brother's new fiancé from Jacob and Billy, learning that the woman - Emily - was a remarkably kind and compassionate woman as well as being a phenomenal cook. It wasn't the only blossoming relationship around the reservation either, begrudgingly, Billy had admitted that her Pateras was growing closer to Sue Clearwater, Emily's aunt and a woman that use to babysit Luna along with Sarah Black when she was a child. Luna hadn't seen the woman since the funeral of her husband Harry eighteen months prior, vividly remembering how distraught the older woman was yet admiring how she swallowed her own pain in favour of being strong for her children.
Both Jacob and herself commentated on her father's improving taste, much to his embarrassment, before both Billy and Charlie began rebelling against Jacob and herself with teasing barbs of events from their childhood. A startling number of scenarios were brought up and the two teens were both left in a mess of flushed cheeks and stuttering denials.
Reminiscing on the night, a small smile came to the ravenette's face as she pulled her hair back into a messy bun and put her usual opal jewellery on. She hurriedly pulled on a black, off-the-shoulder long sleeve with dark, denim jeggings and yellow doc martens before all but flying down the stairs and getting in the rusted orange truck inches away from completing its reverse out of the driveway.
Isabella let out an irritated huff, glaring at the ravenette besides her before speeding off, scowling the entire time. "What took you so long?"
"Excuse me?" The ravenette asks in disbelief, giving the girl an incredulous look. "I'm sorry that making you breakfast and being left to clean up after you is such a bother."
"I never asked you to." She bites back.
"I know, its called common curtesy." The ravenette argues, slowly pronouncing each word as if communicating with a child.
"So is being on time." The girl bites back, glaring at the shorter girl before driving off.
Seeing that the stubborn girl was too short-sided to accept anything she had to say, the ravenette let out an exhausted huff, leaning her head against the frigid glass window, closing her eyes for a moment before opening them as they pulled to a stop in the carpark.
Grabbing her bag, she was quick to run into the school, using her Hydrokinesis to avoid getting wet before briskly entering her first class of the day.

Luna had successfully avoided all five immortals for her first three classes of the day and was proud of herself for the perfect streak she was enforcing, though she did feel exponentially guilty for evading the two males so desperate to reach her, she was also trying to take advantage of whatever little freedom her denial was offering her for as long as it lasted.
