How to Annoy Women in Ten Little Papers or Less

Jasper Whitlock-Hale

"Why does she keep ignoring us?" Emmett growls, staring longingly at the small raven haired beauty across the rowdy maths classroom.

Our mate currently had her head resting on her knuckles, large silver eyes squinting adorably in concentration while she worried her lip between her teeth - fuck that action was much more arousing then it should have been.

"Can't you read her emotions or some empathetic shit?" The scowling brunette huffed.

"Or some shit." He grunts. "They're too diluted to ever get a strong read on and even when I get close they're always changing."

"Is there anything directed? I've been trying the get her attention for the last two weeks but of every other human on earth it had to be our mate that is completely unaffected by us?!" Emmett groans.

"Yea, I'm sure you opening doors and complimenting her at every turn hasn't freaked her out yet. Not to mention the incident with Newton a few days ago."

"I don't care what Coach blind-as-fuck said, he was feeling her up that entire game." He snarls, remembering the way the blonde had been defending his mate during the game on Wednesday - even an idiot would know that you didn't defend a ball by rubbing against someone's ass.

His actions, mixed with his mate's blatant discomfort earnt him the ball Emmett pegged at his groin - he'd be surprised if he was ever able to curse the earth with children.

"You do realise that she almost broke his nose during that game right?" Jasper questions, noting the disgust and pride radiating off the vampire besides him. "Pretended it was an accident while getting the ball, I'm honestly surprised that such a small elbow could do so much damage."

"I'm surprised at how good an actress she is, nobody suspected anything." Emmett snickers. "I would have believed her if I didn't hear her curse him out in some other language after he got sent off to the nurses' office."

"For such a small, seemingly innocent thing, she's awfully cunning." Jasper adds proudly, watching his mate fondly before being distracted by his brother besides him.

The brunette had ripped several pieced of paper from his book, subtly tearing the parchment into smaller pieces before messily scribbling on one.

'Can you take me to the hospital? I just broke my leg falling for you.'

Idiot.

The brunette looked far too smug for the situation as he threw the folded message across a few tables and landing it expertly on their mate's table.

Jasper watched in amusement as his darlin's eyes lit up curiously, gently unfolding the paper before rolling her eyes - which he could have sworn held an almost fond and playful emotion within them - before pushing it off the desk and continuing on with her notes.

Jasper snorted at the deeply offended look on his brother's face, the vampire glaring at the piece of paper discarded carelessly on the floor as if it had personally insulted him before writing on another piece of paper, folding it, waiting for the teacher to turn around and threw it.

'I'd ask you to the movies, but they say you can't bring your own snacks.'

The ravenette's silver eyes quickly took in the words before pushing it towards the brunette human besides her, Angela if he remembered correctly, only for the two to laugh, his mate playing it off as a joke with the mortal while said girl blushed and laughed. Her emotions a bit too admiring in the ravenette's direction for the empaths liking.
