Wang Yibo, a dominant alpha who doesn't give a damn about the world, fixes his gaze on the lead singer of 'The Prides of Music' just to make his presence known. Time has flown in their lives as of late, bringing them here, surrounded by crowds and listening to their cheers as if no one needs a break to catch their breath. So why not grant it?

Standing on the stage, the lead singer is in a daze, trying to focus on the lyrics of the song he is singing. The lights are blinding, the music deafening, but somehow he can still feel Yibo's intense gaze burning into him. It is both exhilarating and unnerving, as his hands clutch the microphone, the words unsaid on his lips.

There is so much left unsaid between them, including the unsaid feelings of longing, regret, and unresolved tension, a fact that has been obvious for as long as they can both remember.

Yibo looks up, his light brown eyes glistening in the lights, reflecting the bright beams that dance in the night. Meeting Zhan at his concert has been planned, but it is shocking and outstanding at the same time. Zhan looks incredibly attractive in real life and is a very down-to-earth guy, so Yibo feels a tingling run through him the moment their eyes meet for the first time in a long while.

His heart beats out of his chest as he sees Zhan again after a long time. It makes him recall their first meeting—the moment when Zhan precisely caught his eye and planted the seed of feelings in his heart when they were just twelve years old.

People used to say that Wang Yibo was a little eccentric and an excitable boy. He had struggled in school, even with the most basic subjects. Everyone knew it was because his mother had been on drugs during and after her pregnancy with him, and his father had been in and out of jail for most of his childhood. He had been neglected at home and shunned at school.

Rumors circulated about him being a movie usher, mentally unstable, attacking fellow students, and disrespecting teachers. He resented the false narratives spread about him. Despite everything, he considered himself a well-behaved boy who didn't even know the meaning of the word 'love'—until the moment Xiao Zhan caught his eye.

It was a gorgeous, sunny morning in the city known as Chongqing. The sun shone brightly, and the skies were clear. A light breeze blew through, rustling the leaves of the trees and carrying the scent of fresh flowers. Another beautiful addition was the students in MSC running around the playground and shouting at one another, enjoying their time.

Yibo lost his balance when Zhan collided with him and waved a hand in apology. It was a small encounter, but it made a great impact on Yibo, who wasn't accustomed to interacting with other students, as his regular interactions were limited to teachers, teachers' aides, the guidance counselor, and the principal.

Zhan giggled as he watched Fanxing search for him on the other side of the playground. He and his cousin had been playing hide-and-seek ever since their teacher had taken them outside, and this was the longest either of them had managed to stay hidden.
