Unsaid emotions bloomed between Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan at school, but they were driven apart by animosity rooted in their hearts because of Jiang Zhuocheng.
Ten years later, they find themselves face-to-face once again, the tension between them pal...
Exhaustion and hurt are the biggest understatements that Zhan can make. Every bone, every muscle, every nerve screams in agony from all the dramas and reviews he's handling. He wants to shout, shout out for the world to hear that he's not a ball to be passed around, even if he doesn't deserve it. Because, as an omega, he can't handle it.
"Hot N Fang!" He has read this restaurant's name about three times now because his brother hasn't felt the need to return to the hotel yet. Since leaving the party, Cheng does nothing but vent his anger by chasing other vehicles on the road and grumbling.
Zhan isn't surprised, as he doesn't expect anything less from him. But still, unsaid emotions and unsaid words cling to his being, expecting something... different in the eyes of other people and for his brother to accept the reality, the bond, the hate, and...

He closes his eyes briefly, then opens them to gaze out at the world passing by, thinking about what the point is of confusing himself with any of those thoughts. He feels his phone vibrate in his hand for the nth time, but he doesn't pick it up and lets it go to voicemail again.
He's in a daze until the car screeches to a halt, making him slump forward and hit his head on the dashboard. The impact jolts him back to reality, but he doesn't rub his forehead, which is giving him a dull ache.
"I'm sorry. Does anywhere hurt?" Cheng asks, concern evident in his voice.
"No," Zhan shakes his head and looks out the window, taking in the familiar surroundings. The cool breeze from the trees and the pool of the hotel calms him, so he takes a deep breath and steps out.
Believing things are going back to normal, he walks beside Cheng, but when he feels the alpha's feet halt near the elevator, he holds his breath. He has a bad feeling that he is missing something, so when Cheng turns to see him, no... the faint mark below his scent gland, his nerves start to tingle with unease.
"B-Brother," Zhan stutters.
"I'll be back soon. You go." Cheng pushes Zhan into the elevator and presses the button for the top floor. As the doors close, Zhan trembles in fear and worry about what his brother is going to do.
The doors slide open, but his heart is still enclosed in fear of what Yibo will do if Cheng appears at his door unannounced. "Wait, why am I thinking that? I warned Yibo that he should back off, but he didn't listen, so he has brought this all on himself. If he wants someone to blame, all he has to do is find a mirror."
However he convinces himself, his heart is also enclosed in worry, so he has no choice but to pull out his phone and quickly send a text to his cousins asking for a favor.
"Please keep an eye on Brother because he's going to Yibo's room." – Zhan
Passing his fear and worry onto others, Zhan puffs out his chest and walks toward his room as if he doesn't care about confronting any alphas. But as he reaches his room, he looks around and swallows hard, getting caught in the sense of an alpha lurking nearby. Making sure not to grab attention, he opens the door quickly.
