Unsaid emotions bloomed between Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan at school, but they were driven apart by animosity rooted in their hearts because of Jiang Zhuocheng.
Ten years later, they find themselves face-to-face once again, the tension between them pal...
'The Prides of Music' is a relatively new hard rock band comprised of five members, and their popularity is spreading across the nation at a rapid pace. This surge is due to their unique blend of powerful vocals, electrifying guitar riffs, and infectious energy on stage. Fans are drawn to their raw and unapologetic lyrics that resonate with a wide range of emotions.
Xiao Zhan serves as the lead singer and soul of the band, framing himself as a beta. Jiang Zhuocheng commands the stage as the lead guitarist, positioning himself as an alpha. Ji Li takes on the role of the second lead singer, publicly identifying himself as an omega. Fanxing and Peixin handle the rhythm guitar and drums, respectively, both serving as betas.
Zhan bounces on the balls of his feet as he walks around backstage, wondering what is going on. He has a feeling that something lying in the dusk is about to dawn, but he doesn't understand what it will be. To calm his racing heart and focus on the task at hand, he has left his confines. There, he hears the faint sound of music drifting through the air, growing louder as he edges closer to the stage.
Curiously, he pushes through the black curtains and watches the 'Nightless City of Music' performance, which sounds good—not as good as the headliner but still decent. The lead singer dances, moving to the rhythm of the music with passion and energy. The crowd erupts in cheers and applause, their faces illuminated by the colorful lights flashing around the stage.
"No matter what, I..." Zhan shakes his head and lifts his hand to stare at his palm. "...we will succeed."
Not having further interest, he walks away from the stage and back to the corridor to reach the dressing room, where his bandmates are preparing themselves. No one else tries to talk to him or interact with him in any fashion. That's how he maintains an air of isolation at times.
As he walks down the almost empty, cream-colored corridor, his leg slips on the tiled floor, causing him to fall. "Ouch!" he whines, straightening himself and rubbing his aching elbow.
"Zhannn!" He's startled to hear his name being called out, accompanied by the strumming of an acoustic guitar. He turns, eyebrows raised, to see He Peng, a dominant alpha who leads the band 'Nightless City of Music,' sauntering toward him with his bandmates down the hallway.

"Have I lost my mind not to realize their concert ended? Not important now." Zhan grits his teeth and tries to endure the pain, not wanting to appear weak. "What's up?" It doesn't faze the alpha, though, who finishes his melody with one last dramatic strum of chords and then grins.
"Now you slip, and soon your band will slip away through the crowd, just like the stars fading in the sky," Peng roars, his eyes gleaming. He despises 'The Prides of Music' and is determined to break them. People are spreading unnecessary rumors about their concert being good, but he finds nothing new or impressive about it.
Zhan shakes his head, chuckling. "Well, right! The stars may fade, but you've just forgotten that they appear every day."
"Really?" Peng grimaces. "I hear the comets appear only once every ten years or so and lose their volatile ices, growing fainter when they pass near the sun."
