"WELCOME ladies and gentlemen! Did you sleep well?" Netero exclaimed – greeting the final nine applicants to participate in the final phase.

"This hotel is owned by the hunter exam selection committee. This place is all yours until the battles have concluded" Netero explained – looking over a big whiteboard that was covered with a cape.

"For the final phase, we will be holding a one-on-one tournament" Netero announced, taking off the cape to reveal the applicant's names and faces pasted on the board along with some lines that connect the photos.

'What's this? It's like some sort of family tree!!' Chizuke yawned, tilting her head slightly due to confusion.

"So only the last person standing passes?" Leorio questioned – feeling threatened suddenly but the old chairman shook his head, "No, one win is all you need to pass."

"The winner shall be removed from the competition while the losers continue up to the bracket. In other words, the person who reached the top will not pass." He explained, "Does everyone understand now?"

The applicants nodded, showing the chairman that they understood the game.

"So one only person will fail?" Hanzo – the bald ninja asked once again, just to make sure of his thoughts.

"Exactly," Netero replied, "And here is the bracket," He added, showing the bracket for the small tournament – it was photos of ourselves attached to each root.

'Oh!' Chizuke raised her eyebrows – she saw how her self-portrait picture was located above Gon and Hanzo, meaning that the two would fight against each other first and the loser would fight against her.

'That means I need to go against the loser of their match... I just hope that Gon will win the match, I don't want to fight him.' Chizuke sighed, looking at Gon who didn't seem to look nervous.

The first round was Gon against Hanzo. Everyone was instructed to stand behind the sidelines as the battle between the two surviving applicants was about to begin – Chizuke looked at Gon, taking off her mask and mouthing him good luck.

"The battle rules are quite simple actually, weapons are allowed, no cheating and if your opponent admits defeat, you win" The examiner explained.

'Gon better win this round. If he loses, I'll surrender at the next match – I don't want to fight him' Chizuke nodded, finding a solution if the boy loses against the bald ninja.

"However, if you kill your opponent, you will be disqualified immediately. All remaining applicants will pass and the exam will end, are we clear?" He added – thus causing Chizuke to sigh in disappointment.

Thus with that, the match between the fearless boy and the bald ninja started. Hanzo was in the lead as he used his hand to hit the back of Gon's neck in a shift-chopping motion

'Gosh, I'm sure Gon will stand up, he won't give up easily...' Chizuke reassure herself.

"You did well... for a kid" Hanzo hummed, staring down at Gon who was struggling to get up.

Hanzo then helped Gon up to his feet – stretching the boy's back with his knee, talking to him about how he should surrender or else he would torture him more.
