I Do not own any of the characters or places mentioned, I am just having a bit of fun with them for a little while!

This story was written in correlation with MagicofNarnia's posted prompt list, which also does not belong to me.

Susan age, 19

Susan hated making mistakes.

And since she was the human equivalent of perfection, she never really seemed to make them either.

As a child, she had always been the one other adults would compliment their mother on, and she usually got lots of attention about how quiet and obedient she was.

When she and her siblings were sent off too the country, she had become sort of like the, "mother", for her other siblings.

Now, here in Narnia, she was the one who kept the wars with over-persistent Tankan's at bay and made sure her brothers did not work to hard. She planned and organized parties and balls, and decorated the castle all year round.

When her siblings social graces had all but worn out, she still had plenty to spare, and a courteous smile to go along with them.

She knew how to appear completely calm, while inwardly seething, and she was as dedicated to all of her projects as any great craftsmen.

So how was it that this was one problem she did not have the skills to solve?

And it wasn't like it was that big of a deal either, "Or at least it shouldn't have been," She thought with annoyance.

You see, it all started when she had decided to invite a young Duke from Terabithia, to the Christmas ball. But Edmund had warned her that he did not think he was a trustworthy man, and therefore should not be invited into their home. Edmund had apparently met the man last year, although very briefly, he felt that the he was no friend of Narnia.

Well, Susan was rather offended at the idea that she was not a very good judge of character, and decided to invite him anyway. For when she had met him, she had thought him a very fine young man.

Needless to say, his presence at the party did not go very well, and in the end he was banished from the castle, by Peter on threat of his life, if he ever returned.

And that was after Alex caught the man attempting to have his way with Lucy, and Edmund beating the man into a blubbering mess on the floor in return for his treatment of Lucy and nearly killing Alex, for discovering him in the first place.

So now she had the simple, but all to difficult problem of figuring how to apologize and admit she was wrong.

Oh, how Susan hated making mistakes.

"When someone makes a mistake, they have to admit they had been wrong. She never made mistakes, how could she make one this bad? Because of her foolishness, Alex had almost been murdered and who knows what would have happened to Lucy! How could she have been so careless?"

They were all sitting up in Alex's room, waiting for him to wake up.

Finally, after what seemed like more effort then necessary, she apologized to Peter, Edmund, and Lucy; Edmund and Lucy, especially.

They both nodded, each accepting her apology.

Then Edmund said to her, "Susan, I understand how you feel and it's OK. Everyone makes mistakes, even you. But mistakes are forgiven. Believe me, they are, otherwise I would not be here."

Susan smiled and thanked him gratefully, thinking privately that she would never make such a big mistake again.

Unfortunately for her, she would not be able to keep this promise and she did indeed make another big mistake; the biggest mistake of her life actually. But that wouldn't be until she had left Narnia for the last time, and after she had already, "grown up".
