The Red Death. A story written by some old historical man. I somehow got the name of this story as my code name. The Red Death is described as sharp pains, sudden dizziness, and profuse bleeding of the pores leading to death within half an hour. When people hear my name they think of death, torture, chaos, but sometimes I wonder if I'm just a broken little girl.

My emotions are simply a button. I can turn them on or off thanks to psychological conditioning. I've never had an original thought until Alejandro and Rudy showed me grace. They opened my eyes to being a human and not some test subject that can be used whenever the government wanted.

I was taken. Being made into a weapon for justice is what the scientists always said before they would stick me with unknown drugs. I was cheated out of my childhood. I never got to do things that normal kids did. I never learned to ride a bike or how to play catch with my father. It was an endless cycle. Wake up, Take a blue pill that made your brain take in info faster, learn basic things like math, new languages, literature, eat a small meal, sit in a chair for hours while the doctors take your blood, learn martial arts, take a green pill to see if it will make you stronger, sit in another chair while doctors pump you full with poison, and then take a pink pill that makes you sleepy.

~Flashback~

One day the cycle broke. A doctor sedated me and next thing I know I'm lying on the concrete in the middle of a Mexican city. I got up from the ground in a blue hospital gown. I stumbled through the streets until someone grabbed me. I was too shocked to fight back but this man was holding onto me softly trying to talk to me. I stared at him weirdly not really comprehending anything.

Alejandro: excuse me ma'am are you ok? My name is Alejandro. Let me get you somewhere safe ok?

I just walked in silence as he dragged me to a military vehicle. He sat me in the back and climbed into the passenger seat.

Alejandro: this is my friend Rudolfo. We need to get you somewhere else. This place is not safe.

Rudy: I thought that everyone was supposed to be evacuated two days ago.

Alejandro: I think this woman was abducted. She's in a hospital gown Rudy and she looks so lost almost like she was sedated. Let's take her to base and get her tested.

Of course Russian was my first language and I could speak English and Spanish fairly well but I still had a Russian accent.

Carmen: synopsis. Test? No test!

Alejandro: synopsis? What is it?

Carmen: home. My home.

My sentences were short because I'm not used to talking unless I was translating in my language classes.

Alejandro: we are taking you somewhere safe and we need to run a few tests to make sure you are ok. Alright?

Carmen: ok

~end of Flashback~

That's how the first meeting with Alejandro and Rudy went. They helped me into a secret force called The Red Berets which I am the captain of now. They were like my big brothers. They helped me learn things about the world, how to drive, how to speak more than a few sentences, and most importantly how to love. They are my Hermanos and that will never change.

Now I'm waiting with Alejandro and Rudy to welcome our special guests, Task Force 141.
