Chelsea was holding hands with Sam in the school hallway as they talked together. They were walking through the mostly empty hall heading to Sam's class. It was Chelsea's study block. They soon got to the door of Sam's class.
"Well, this is my class," Sam said. They kissed the back of Chelsea's hand before letting go. "See you later, Chelsea." Sam waved as they walked into their class.
"Bye, Sam," Chelsea waved, blushing lightly.
Chelsea turned and started walking to the gym for study hall with Chase. She only got a few steps before her path was blocked. She looked up to see the face of the person who blocked her: Bradly. (random name)
"Uh, hi..?" Chelsea said unsure. She went to walk around Bradly, but he pushed her back. She stumbled a little, but quickly caught her footing. "Can I help you?"
"Yeah, you can," Bradly said. "Stop being all buddy-buddy like that with another girl. You should act like that with girls."
"Are you talking about Sam?"
"Yeah. Who else would I be talking about?"
"Sam's not a girl. They're non-binary."
"Whatever," Bradly scoffed. "Sam's still a female, and so are you. You should date another female." As he spoke he pokes Chelsea's shoulder.
"It's none of your business what I do," Chelsea crossed her arm.
"I always knew you were a freak," Bradly pushed Chelsea, almost knocking her down. "And now that you're all buddy-buddy with another female you're even more of a freak."
"Just leave me alone," Chelsea muttered.
Chelsea went to walk around Bradly once again. This time instead of just pushing her, he punched her in the stomach. She stumbled back and fell on her butt. She wrapped her arm around her stomach. Sure she's been punched many times and definitely punched harder, but it was unexpected. Bradly was also a bit stronger than she'd thought. He kicked her hard in the stomach before laughing as he walked away.

Chase was sitting at a table in the gym waiting for Chelsea to join him in study hall. He looked at the time. 'It shouldn't be taking her this long,' he thought. It was the third time this week that she was late.
Chase sighed, standing up. He walked out into the hall. Looking around he saw his twin sister sitting on the ground, arm wrapped around her stomach. He quickly walked up to her.
"Chelsea, what are you doing on the ground?" Chase asked, holding his hand out to Chelsea. She grabbed his hand and he pulled her up.
"I, uh..." Chelsea contemplated whether she should tell the truth or lie. "I tripped." She lied. This was the third time Bradly stopped her in the hallway this week. Each time it got worse. He'd punched and kicked her multiple times. She was positive that her stomach was bruised.
"Okay. Well, let's get to study hall." Chase had a feeling that Chelsea wasn't telling the truth, but he didn't pry. He knew Chelsea would just get all defensive and would be upset with him. He also knew he wasn't going to leave her side unless he had to. Something happened and he wasn't just going to let it happen again. He'd do what he could for it to not happen again, whatever it is.

Chase and Chelsea walked through the hall heading to the main hallway to meet with Adam, Bree, and Leo. The group usually met up there before going home after school. Chelsea saw Bradly in the hallway. She slowed down a little bit so that she would be hidden by Chase.
"What are you doing?" Chase asked telepathically.
"Uh, nothing...?" Chelsea answered telepathically.
"Chel, what's going on?"
"It's nothing, Chase. Drop it." Chelsea's tone was one of irritation.
Chase looked at Chelsea with concern. "Chelsea-"
"Come on. Everyone's waiting for us," Chelsea said, cutting off her twin brother. After seeing Bradly was no longer there, she sped up, walking past Chase.

"What's wrong, Chase?" Adam asked. He noticed that Chase seemed worried about something.
"It's Chelsea," Chase sighed. "Somethings going on."
"Well, what's been going on?" Adam asked as he sat down next to Chase.
"She won't tell me," Chase shrugged. "But she's been late to study hall 3 times this week and she's never late. Also, yesterday when I went to go find her she was on the floor in the hallway."
"What was she doing on the ground?"
"She said she tripped, but I could tell she was lying."
"Maybe someone at school is messing with her."
"That's what I was thinking," Chase said. "I'm planning to stay by her side at school."
"We'll both watch after her at school," Adam said. "No one messes with my baby sister."
———
Adam and Chase have been sticking around Chelsea at school whenever they could. One of them was always with her. Since she was never alone, Bradly hadn't had the chance to mess with her again.
