Chelsea was in her capsule, sulking. Davenport said she's not allowed to see Sam again. It's already been a week. Chelsea felt like she might as well still be grounded. She can't even talk to Sam at school, other than saying they can't talk anymore. Davenport was having Adam, Bree, Chase, and Leo keep Chelsea and Sam apart.

Adam didn't have a problem with it, he didn't exactly like the idea of his baby sister dating someone. Bree felt kinda bad about it but never liked Sam as much as she let on. Chase was kind of in between being okay with keeping them apart and hating doing it to his twin sister. Leo didn't exactly know how he felt. He didn't know Sam all that well, but he knew Chelsea pretty well. Chelsea liked Sam, but Chelsea, even though she's the smartest woman in the world, could be a bit naive when it comes to people.

The elevator opened and Leo walked out. Chelsea stepped out of her capsule. She agreed to help him with his homework.

"My mom's almost done with dinner," Leo said. "Chelsea, we can do homework after dinner."

"Okay, Leo," Chelsea said. "Sounds good."

"You're doing homework with Leo?" Davenport asked. "Don't you usually do homework with Chase?" Chelsea ignored him as she walked over to the elevator. "Chelsea?"

"She's ignoring you," Chase said as he followed Chelsea. "And yes we usually do homework together, but I finished mine at lunch."

The next morning, the teens woke up, got dressed, and went to the kitchen. Adam, Bree, Chase, and Chelsea all sat at the counter in the kitchen eating breakfast. Leo was on the other side of the counter, making his breakfast. Tasha walked into the room.

"Good morning," Tasha said, going to the fridge.

"Morning, Tasha," everyone greeted.

Mr. Davenport walked down the stairs. "Good morning," he said, getting a 'morning' from everyone, but Chelsea. "Come Chelsea you can't just ignore me forever."

Chelsea got up and grabbed her backpack, making sure all her school stuff was in it. She grabbed the black snapback hat with rainbow stripes on the front of the counter, putting it on backward.

"Well, she plans to," Chase said, also getting up. "And she can hold a grudge."

Chelsea was in the kitchen making chocolate chip cookies. Her bracelets and phone were in her snapback sitting on the other side of the counter, so it was all out of the way. Her blue and green flannel was tied around her waist.

Chelsea had to keep smacking Adam and Leo's hands away as they tried getting some of the cookie dough. It was just the three of them in the living room/kitchen. Bree was with a friend and Chase was in the lab with Mr. Davenport.

She scooped out little scoops of cookie dough making them into balls before putting them on the cookie sheet. After filling the cookie sheet, she put it in the already pre-heated oven. She smacked Adam's hand away once again as he reached for the little bit of what was left in the bowl.

"No," she said, picking up the bowl. She picked out the little ball of cookie dough left inside the bowl and ate it. "Hey, Leo," she turned to her stepbrother. "Want what's left on the bowl?"

"Uh, yeah," Leo said, grabbing the bowl. "Thanks, Chels."

"Mhm," Chelsea hummed as she started cleaning the corner.

"I want cookie dough," Adam said.

"Too bad," Chelsea said, smiling mockingly at her older brother. She was somewhat upset with Adam. Earlier at school she was going to talk to Sam, but Adam saw her. He picked her up with ease and carried her out of the room in front of everyone.

"Are you still mad about what happened at school?" Adam asked. "I was only doing what Davenport told us to. You're not supposed to hang out with Sam anymore."

"I know. I'm not mad. You were just following orders," Chelsea said. "But you embarrassed me in front of everyone, so no cookie dough for you."

———

Chelsea finished the only book in the house she hadn't read. Sure, she and Chase could read a whole book in like less than 5 seconds if they want, but she usually takes her time to read the books. She sighed as she closed the book. She got up and put the book back where she got it.

Deciding she wanted a new book, Chelsea grabbed her wallet and made her way upstairs. She walked through the kitchen and living room, passing by everyone. "I'm going to the bookstore," she said.

"Okay, sweetie," Tasha said.

"Be back before 7, for dinner," Mr. Davenport said. "Okay?"

Chelsea just rolled her eyes as she opened the door and walked out. "She'll be back before 7," Chase said.

Everyone was at the table eating breakfast before school. After finishing her plate, Chelsea got up and put her plate in the sink. The others soon did the same. The teens all grabbed their backpacks and made their way to the door.

"I'll drive you guys to school today," Davenport said.

"Okay," Adam, Bree, Chase, and Leo all stopped walking to the door. Chelsea kept walking.

"Chelsea?" Davenport questioned. Chelsea opened the door causing him to sigh. "You're being childish," he said.

"Chelsea," Tasha said. Chels turned to her. "You can't ignore your father forever."

"He's not my father," Chelsea said. The room fell silent, the only sound being the door shutting as she walked out.

"She didn't mean that," Bree said, looking at Mr. Davenport.

"Yeah," Adam said. "She's just upset right now."

Davenport nodded. "Come on. Don't want you guys to be late for school."

"I'll, uh, I'll walk with her," Chase said as he started walking to the door.

"Okay."
