Third POV-

Bakugou had been working extra shifts at his agency. Kirishima shouldn't worry, well he worries if his boyfriend is going to be safe but...

Is Bakugou cheating? Kirishima shouldn't even think of it. He tried to tell his mind that Bakugou wasn't like that, Bakugou loves him. But extra shifts normally usually scream they're off meeting a side mistress without the other's acknowledgement.

It was stupid, but terrible enough to have Kirishima crying alone in their bed, laying under the covers, all the lights off besides from the hallway light trying to sneak in from the gap under the door. Just the thought of Bakugou with someone else made his heart break. He didn't want it to be true. But Bakugou was just so much better and had so many people adore him, the redhead was sure the blond could pick up someone better.

Kirishima's phone began to ring but he tried to ignore it. He knew it wouldn't be Bakugou. He's busy. Either with work or someone else, Kirishima wasn't sure. He just let it ring out instead of canceling the call himself. When it did ring out he thought it was over but to his surprise it rang again.

Kirishima groaned as he rolled over to grab his phone. He was pretty surprised to read the name of: 💖Hubby💖 on his phone. It was Bakugou. The blond was calling him. Maybe he knew he was catching on if he was cheating and was trying to throw the redhead off by calling him.

Kirishima wasn't sure why he answered, but he could stop himself from tapping on the green button, turning off his phone, and pressing it against his ear.

"Hey, I feel something is off, you okay?" Kirishima stayed silent. Bakugou knew him too well to know that he would be lying if he said he was fine with a croaky voice that was just full of sadness. "Eiji? Baby?"

"I-I'm fine," Kirishima wished he could just stay silent hoping Bakugou would just hang up and continue with whatever he was doing. Or whoever he was doing. But he definitely knew Bakugou heard the stutter and brokenness in his voice. The sound the blond normally said he hated to hear.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Kirishima knew what was wrong. But he didn't want to tell Bakugou. In fear that the blond would confess or the blond would be angry for the redhead to accuse him of such a thing. Whether it'd be a rage of being caught and trying to deny it or it being the truth.

Kirishima instead just breaks down and starts sobbing on the phone with Bakugou. He wasn't there, but he could feel the ghost warmth of the embrace Bakugou had done so many times to comfort him whenever he was like this. Was he doing that same hug to someone else? Someone better? Someone who probably deserved it more than the dumb things Kirishima would cry over.

Bakugou shushed him over the phone. But it wasn't helping.

"Do I need-"

"Kat are you cheating on me?" Kirishima was going to get some sort of rage either way, he was going to find out if he was cheating, he just rather it be over the phone.

Bakugou stayed silent which made Kirishima's anxiety worsen. God he was, wasn't he? He's been caught and he didn't want to say anything.

"Is that why you're crying?" Bakugou finally spoke. No anger was laced in his words. There was concern, hurt. Kirishima sniffled as he nodded. Bakugou wasn't there but he couldn't bring himself to speak anymore, fear that it would just be broken sobs and gasps. "You think that I'm cheating?"

"It's just-you've been taking more and more shifts, I barely see you anymore!" Kirishima cried out, rubbing his eyes, trying to stop the tears but it wasn't working. Bakugou stayed silent as Kirishima spoke, letting the redhead take his time as he tried to get out what he was trying to say through sobs.
