"Happy father's day papa!" He waved a picture in front of Eijiro's face. He grabbed it from the boys hand and looked at it. It was poorly drawn, but Eito was only five, he wouldn't have expected a Picasso like drawing from him.

It was a poorly scribbled him, and a poorly scribbled Katsuki. He smiled.

"This is great, I think daddy's is going to love it!" He ruffled Eito's blond hair as the little boy laughed.

"Can I show him it?" Eito asked.

"Yeah, but first, I need to get flowers for daddy," Eijiro stood up and walked over to get his shoes on and grab the car keys. Eito following close behind.

Eijiro strapped Eito in his car seat, moving to the front of the car and begin to drive.

Stopping at a nearby flower shop, the cashier he regularly saw giving him a sympathetic look as he purchased red roses.

Getting back in the car, they drove.

"Here, you said you wanted to show him, why don't you give him these as well," he handed Eito the drawing and the flowers. Eito excitedly ran up to the gravestone.

'Katsuki Kirishima: beloved hero, father, son, husband, and friend'

He smiled softly upon meeting it. He never liked coming back here. Not like he didn't want to see Katsuki. He just couldn't handle himself. He missed Katsuki.

He also felt guilty. If he had done something more, Katsuki would still be here. Would actually be able to grab and see the picture their son was now explaining to the engraved rock. Actually be able to appreciate the flowers that were now being laid across the grass in front of it. Just one thing he could've done more that would have Katsuki here.

But it was too late. He can't go back. He needs to be there for Eito. For the civilians.

He honestly had thought about doing what Katsuki did. Just ending it.

But he didn't want Eito to go through that again. He was told by Katsuki's parents, time and time again, that it wasn't his fault. That Katsuki had loved him so much. Apparently not enough to stay...

"Papa," he was startled to hear Eito's voice, but relaxed.

"Yes?" He asked.

"You're crying again..." Eito's eyes start to water. Their son never liked seeing people cry. Much like himself, he cried when other's did.

"I know..." He wobbled a smile. "I just miss him...wish he was here," Eito grabbed his hand.

"Is daddy gone... because of me?" Eito asked.

"No, of course not!" He confirmed. "Something bad happened, that's all."

"Daddy loved us so much," he pulled his son into a hug. He never told Eito exactly what happened. He's too young. Perhaps when he was a teen he could tell him. But for now...

Something bad happened during surgery.

That's all.

"Happy father's day daddy," Eito said, rubbing the tears off his cheeks.

"Let's go home, okay, we can put your drawing up on the fridge," Eijiro turned around, Eito followed. They left the flowers there. Those were for Katsuki. But the drawing was for the both of them.

He buckled Eito in his car seat, then got in his own seat, then drove away.
