I wish it was like before when I could be in the same room as him and not feel this hateful tension.

Do I wish Kim Namjoon and I could speak two words to one another without it turning into a screaming match? Yes. We did once upon a time have deep respect for one another, not only as friends but as two working artists under the same label. It's hard for it not to hurt a little bit as I remember that thought while clenching my hands that currently rest underneath the dinner table as I try to control myself. Though the food has not gotten here yet,  it had looked like a nice and peaceful dinner put together by Taemin was going to actually happen for once, but that was until Namjoon brought up the very thing that tore whatever friendship we had apart. Taemin sighs. He knows what is about to happen, again.

" Hyung I must say, I first thought that this dinner is in celebration of our Ms.Y/N and her accomplishments,  but being here for you is way better."

" Stop it, I thought I  told you not to bring that energy with you before you got here," Taemin says with great irritation. I'm positive that he did tell him that because he told me the same thing. Taemin knows the truth and knows it's hard to have us in the same room after what went down a couple of weeks ago and knew the pros and cons of this sitting, but he's going on tour soon and wanted one more sit together before that, so I couldn't say no. He is also the only one willing to deal with us and this situation we have going on.

" Sorry, I just can't believe she's going to sit here in front of me after all these weeks as if she  didn't throw me under the bus as she did."

" Stop talking like she's not here and say her name. I'm about to kick you out." He rolls his eyes before looking back at me, no trace of the Namjoon I once knew in them at all it looks like.

"No, it's okay Taemin, let him get out." I look at Namjoon before grabbing a napkin near me and pushing it across the table over to him.

"This is for those tears you keep shedding over something you clearly are being stupid about, please continue."

His jaw clenches at that. If he had let me get out at least a word that day in the studio, I could have told him that I didn't know they weren't going to put the songs he produced for me on the album until it was already out. I could have told him how furious I got about it, as well as the scene I caused when I found out that the hard work me and him did together was put on a file somewhere for another time if they even remembered that they put it there. He let disappointment, anger, and distrust get the better of him and it ended up leading us here as enemies.

"You knew they weren't going to use those songs Y/N."

"How many times do I have to tell you Namjoon,  they lied to me! I had it on paper and everything to ensure they were going to be on that album. I even went to the meeting for it." My face grows hot as I watch him laugh before falling back in his chair.

"Why don't you just listen to her Joon? Why is it so hard to believe?" I grow thankful that Taemin chose to stay at the table instead of running for cover in the nearest room like the rest of the friend group would do if they were here. Namjoon widens his eyes before giving Taemin a look of disbelief.
